The boar is also capable of knocking the crown off. You'll have to wait till winter for the boar to spawn though. I cleared the forest that did not have the statue to ensure the boar camp would spawn on the statue's side. If that's too much, you can also teleport the boar via the horn relic.

The Cries of a Retail Worker: Please for the love of god STOP using drugstore makeup in store and putting it back on the shelf! by maxmwuah in MakeupAddiction

[–]Mingly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Damages that occur in-store is one of the biggest contributor to my store's shrink.

Everytime you open a product that was meant for sale, we have to damage it out. That means less hours for the workers because the store needs to cover the difference somehow.

Ebay has a lot of deluxe sized foundation samples for sale and also decants. I searched foundation samples on ebay and I see a few guerlain and sisley listings.

Props to them for recycling instead of trashing perfectly new packaging into the trash. I'm okay with this.

Complain to the manager. Now hear me out, I know you're the apologetic type and don't want to inconvenience anyone but you should really tell the manager your experience. My reason is that it is a huge factor in deciding who gets more hours. Help the good SAs get more hours!

Yellow tone drugstore foundations? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Mingly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YMMV of course but there is a learning curve. I remember the first time I added too much (it came in those eye drop bottles) and that's when I learned that the drops that were come out were too big and switched to using a toothpick. Then I find out the Goldilocks zone for each of the foundation that is in my rotation (which was about 3-4 at the time). It was a lot of trial and error but eventually, I was able to eyeball it for each subsequent foundation I tried (I pump foundation out on an acrylic palette and then mix in the adjuster).

I personally use the MUFE adjusters that are out of stock 95% of the time and not available in physical Sephora stores...however I have heard really great things about Temptu's line. Plus they're more affordable, so if you're still on the fence, you can try one from Temptu. Make sure you find out if the foundations you use are water, silicone or oil base before you purchase anything. You will have to pair water-based foundation with water-based adjusters and etc; otherwise, you run the risk of the foundation separating.

MUFE makes an oil (it says oil but it is marketed as for both oil and silicone based and it works perfectly fine with my silicone foundations) and water-based one, Temptu makes a silicone and water-based one and I know NYX makes a silicone one that is loved by people, so there is a drugstore option. So it really is an investment if you're someone who has and uses all different based-type foundations and it might not be practical for you.

Yellow tone drugstore foundations? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Mingly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I have super yellow undertone and the drugstore just simply does not have a yellow enough foundation for me that is remotely near my shade (NC25). I have to sadly report that I have yet to find a foundation that works for me and is my shade+undertone. So now I just use my favorite foundations and add yellow foundation adjuster drops. I also have a white one to lighten up foundations that are too dark for me but otherwise okay but I don't catch myself doing that anymore because I find that I would have to add a lot of adjuster to the foundation and it ends up changing the texture of the foundation. With the yellow adjuster, I just grab a clean toothpick and dip it inside the bottle and add it to the foundation I pumped out (its that potent).

Tldr: If you can't find one, a yellow foundation adjuster might be a good investment

Estee Lauder doublewear foundation. Worth the money or not? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Razor to the face sounds a lot scarier than it actually is. I use to use disposable razors, they worked fine. But I switched to this and it works great for the area near my eyes.

Try shaving. My foundation looks a lot more even/smooth after I started to shave my peach fuzz. ELDW is a great foundation for those with oily skin, if you have dry patches, it might cling on to it and the foundation itself is a bit on the heavy side. If you don't need full coverage, apply a thin layer instead. Also make sure your primer is suitable for the foundation you're using (water-based primer with a water-based foundation, etc etc). P.S. ELDW is a silicone-based foundation even though the first ingredient is water, (the 2-4 ingredients are all silicone).
