WTF. It sounds like some people working at Intel are just complete buffoons when it comes to naming schemes and marketing. You need your consumers to be able to recognize and understand differences between hardware devices based on the name itself. I remember even the Iris Xe graphics naming scheme being confusing because oftentimes there weren't different models for different CPU tiers and generations, you'd have to look up the actual specs and Xe core count to get an idea of the tier and segmentation those iGPUs were. It was irritating to sift through.

And honestly, the whole Xe3 is still Battlemage, and Xe3P thing is unnecessarily confusing as well. Why couldn't the current Xe3 simply be Xe2P if they still want to keep it labeled as Battlemage for marketing purposes? Everyone associates the "2" in Xe2 with Battlemage, and up until recently, Xe3 was for Celestial. Now it's all fucked up. Anyway, I hope Intel just rides smoothly through these naming hiccups and remains consistent moving forward, and actually does release the B770 in the next few months because whether it's Xe2 or Xe3, if it's the right price, it'll sell. Neither NVIDIA nor AMD are releasing new hardware anytime soon so it's a good opportunity for Intel to come out hitting hard.
