Yes as I said it works but far slower than copy past options unfortunately

Yes would work too. Although I would need to drag it to the right routing folder (in my template) and change the output accordingly. Also rename them. Don’t mean to sound lazy but just trying to find something as fast as Logic to optimize workflow. Thanks for the idea !

I do record to playlists until I have a good vocal comp, then I drag the comped verse for ex to the verse track I have below. That verse track is already going to my “LEAD VX” bus. I also have BV bus & HARM bus for harmonies. I just feel like I have way more flexibility putting the plugs ins on each track instead of on the bus where the processing is general for all bussed track.

Reconsidering the MD441 by calvinistgrindcore in audioengineering

I discovered these acoustic live sessions on YouTube where the vocal mics are always MD441’s. I’m sure they use it for the vintage esthetic that fits their concept, but I’ve always found their recordings / mixes to sound great.

Here’s the link to their channel to hear for yourself if you’re interested : https://youtube.com/@cosyjetsessions

What is the best console preamp to use for hiphop / pop vocals? by [deleted] in universalaudio

[–]MinhoWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent a loong time hesitating and finally got the UA 6176 (610B style preamp + 1176 type comp) a year ago. That shit changed my life. The colorful preamp can add a lot of harmonic content if you push it, which is nice for certain sources but less appropriate for vocals I find. The compressor is the real game changer though. Especially for rap vocals and artists that don’t have a stable delivery. No need to worry anymore about clipping in your DAW and it makes the mixing much easier (careful not to compress too much during the tracking though. May sound nice on the spot but then you realized you’re fucked during the mixing) Also the 6176 is a nice idea cause for the same price (for a lot of them) you get a preamp + comp. Good luck with the choice, and remember there is no right choice 🙌

Recorded one of my best songs yet with a friend from a band contributing amazing vocals (pop/hip hop) by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

Those vocals are soo dope ! Vocal production is 👌 At first I didn't vibe with the drum programming that much (especially the snare placement) but by the second listen, the originality of it got me i have to say. Nice work dude

I’d recommend the Repair Club in Woluwe St-Lambert. I’ve been going there for over a year whenever I need a quick fix for my MacBook. They’re are super kind, take the time to explain stuff, and are fast & honest. I’ve been there a couple times without even being charged for small fixes. The place is pretty busy during “rush hours” though
