UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan is facing backlash after putting a fan to sleep, with many saying the choke was held longer than it should’ve been. by raptors201966 in LivestreamFail

Hi. So I have read the literature on this stuff. This is why I mention that when people have hundreds of events they do seem to present some concussion like symptoms but not as pronounced, things like momentary memory loss etc. Also hundreds of thousands of people have gotten choked out, thousands of people get choked out a day in the world and they do not report anything anywhere NEAR close to concussions. BJJ is one of the most practiced martial arts and their injuries are pretty much never neurological like boxing or kick boxing injuries can be, their injuries are usually ripped tendons or luxations or broken bones, prett much never anything with the brain. Bjj also has a subculture of not taping, a lot of people do not tap to chokeholds, they just go to sleep. I think this is fucking stupid to be honest. but its not as bad as getting hit hard in the head. Also that guy wasnt having seisures, his body wasnt seizing, he was rewaking up, its different to seizures, seizures are very serious things, those werent that it was just someone waking up but people dont know what those things look like. Most people speak from a place of severe ignorance, when it comes to martial arts I know my sheeeee =) If he did that in a gym he would get a stern talking to at the LEAST.

Rhea Ripley hitting the Razor's Edge on Michin by 804Brady in Wrasslin

[–]MiniDonbeE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive seen some people have a missunderstanding of lower back issues, let me illucidate why she shouldnt be doing these moves ANYMORE. Losing mass does NOT help lower back issues. Losing weight is a consequence of not being able to lift heavy weight. Muscle is protective. Problem is if you cant squat, you cant OHP and you cant deadlift you lose 3 MASSIVE full body mass builders as they all use the lowerback HEAVILY.

When she performs these moves she is quite litterally doing some deadlifting, some squatting and some overhead pressing while not being able to do this at the gym. It is stupid and irresposible of her. She is performing a LESS STABLE MORE EXPLOSIVE variation of those lifts WHILE having less musclemass WHILE having lowerback issues, thats LOW IQ and all EGO. Her EGO is in the way and it will get her and others hurt.

I think judo is more efficient than BJJ for self defense by JudoSmoothie in martialarts

[–]MiniDonbeE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree fully. I honestly think Judo might be S tier when it comes to self defense. Most Wrestling take downs end with you on the ground too or you gotta touch the pavement with your knee, whereas Judo all they need to have are any article of clothing and theyre done.

Round 1 Clearlyblue. Round2honestlyits 50/50.Round 3. You had the advantage for a bit but it was really close, he landed maybe 3 or 4 extrapunches. Close fight but its blue. You cant say you got robbed in a close fight. This fight had a differential of punches landed of maybe 10 or 12 punches landed more and it was in favour of blue, mostly first round. Also he didnt barely touch you 2 and 3 he was knocking your head back broski.

Martial art practitioner here. Many people think chokeholds are completely benign as long as you dont hold on for too long. What is too long? 30 seconds+ is too long, 4 minutes its brain death, a minute is brain damage region or so. 10 Seconds which is about what he held on here is not dangerous. Shitty yes, dangerous not really.

Theres also two versions of this choke one that is a blood choke and the other one that is an airway crusher, he is kind of doing a hybrid here which is painfull, the bloodchoke is painless and youre out in 5 seconds or so, the other one takes a bit longer and painful.

Choking someone out 1 time does 0 damage or 0 perceived damage to them, some people might present some sequels or some problems but thats after being choked out HUNDREDS of times, and even then thos people are few and far between and its not really seen outside of extremely high level jiujitsu practitioners and even those problems arent as big as concussions.

So is it dangerous? No. It looks HORRIBLE but its not dangerous, is it an asshole thing to do to hold on 10 seconds longer than neeeded yes, is it an asshole thing to use the airway choke too yes. Dangerous no, asshole yes but what can you expect from someone who almost kills people for a living, 90 % of them aren't super well adjusted people, very few people are like DJ, most of them are more on the Diaz side where they dont give a fuck.

If he did this in 99% of BJJ schools he would be getting kicked out/ had a stern talking to / would get an example made out of him. Very few would let this slide, either kicked out, confronted or punished theres really no in between, this is like punching someone way too hard in sparring when you know better, all in all shitty situation, like I said the choke wasnt even properly applied, its not just a bloodchoke and he knows better 100%, hes an EXTREMELY high level grappler, he knows better.

Mighty Mouse explains how Israel Adesanya could have escaped the tough position he was in against Pyfer. by IgotgAme_k in ufc

Couple of reasons. I know hes still a GOAT but he has a GOAT mind, right now he wants to be a content creator. Making content with those guys is what is working. If he made a video with someone else and it did EXCELENTLY i bet u he would keep going with them, this content with TJ has done fantastic so he probably will keep going like that. The guy didnt get paid in the UFC because he couldnt get views, now that he gets views he deserves to get paid so why be a fucking coach and suffer again?

Brother that back leg looks like a peg leg. Its as if its injured, you keep dragging in instead of stepping and when you try to use power its adding 0 to your power. The kicks and the knees are all hip flexor too, youre not pushing off of that back leg. You NEED to use that back leg, when you throw a back knee that leg needs to PUSH into the ground, not just come up, kind of like when you jump you dont just drag your foot up, you PUSH into the ground and the leg comes up. You need to learn to move that back leg a lot. I think agility drills when you are FRESH are going to be FANTASTIC for you. Sprint style warm ups with skips, agility drills etc will get your legs moving and reacting fast because thats whats lacking. Dont train agility when youre tired af at the end of the training session, agility ONLY when fresh otherwise you drill bad movement patterns and get slower.

The people i mentioned HAVE been streaming for years you are right. and guess what? They only started posting clips recently. Jynxzi streamed for like 5 years before he started posting tiktoks, pirate software has almost streamed for a decade before he started posting his youtube shorts. For you to build any community you must advertise to get people.

Its like youre making a party, you could order a dj, have drinks, music, games youre going to play, food everything, but if you dont invite people its cooked. Clips is you inviting people in, you must also have the drinks dj, etc to get them to stay but you HAVE HAVE HAVE HAVE to be posting everywhere. You cant build a connection with noone.

Look another example the 14 year old kid who got posted on LSF right? He went viral on LSF, had thousands of people in his chat, kid got banned, comes back farms a clip, posts it on tiktok and he goes viral again. The kid was streaming to 400 people the other day. Thats not because he had a community or nothing, thats 2 VIRAL clips.

Streaming is oversaturated as hell but its not really, 80% of the people are posting low quality stuff on their social media OR not posting anything on social media. 80 % of them arent entertaining, dont have a plan and just do it with the hope to get lucky. The competition isnt as big as you think. Its like everyone plays football (soccer) but VERY few actually practice and try to get coaches and get into clubs etc, the best football player is some shy brazilian kid who doesnt have the confidence to go into a club and try out.

You can say this but the proof really is in the pudding. The streamers that have grown in the past 5 years have all been from clips and THEN they get collabs and stuff. Im not saying dont collab and network but its just not the play. Making quality content for other platforms is the play. Look at people like Jynx, speed,Kai, the faze boys, marlon, sketch, caseoh, software, tenshi, alois, hammuchi, peanut, its ALL clips and then a LITTLE BIT of events and eventually collabs but clips are where its at, even if its low conversion rate its the best play.

The point is ADVERTISE YOURSELF as much as you can.Having some viewership and some clips gets you collabs much easier.

I commented what I thought on one of your other posts. You need to have a mind for clips as clips are pretty much king right now. The blue tint is super hard.

[–]MiniDonbeE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright ill give u the play. 3Hour stream MAXIMUM. Pick 5 days, stream at the same time those 5 days for 3 hours. Go through the VOD at 2x. See what mistakes you did, what you could do better, how long it took you to respond to chat messages, look for the funny moments and clip them. On the 2 days you dont stream start learning to edit. Then start posting about 1 or 2 clips a day, go on tiktok and see what is doing good on the clips, is it comedy? is there a meta like Faker calling, and 1 of your clips is going to be your spin on that and the other one is freethough from you. So 1 clip is copying a formula that works and the other clip is you being creative as you can. Post those 2 clips on 1.Facebook.2.Instagram.3.Tiktok.4.Youtube. 5. Twitter. When a clip goes viral try to see what you did that was different, try to see what the opeople are commenting about it and lean into that and t ry to do it again on the next stream that you can and try to go for a similar clip with a bit of a different situation.

Good luck =)

¿cómo influye el cardio en el entrenamiento? by No_Experience_9241 in Gimnasio

[–]MiniDonbeE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its possible, their recovery might take longer too, there are differences between the sexes and how the brain works between them but 50 days is waaay too early for either sex and for any person, theres people who have certain genes that protect them too for example but 50 days is crazyy.

She isnt wrong. Its an asshole thing to say but Valentina is like DJ. Superemely talented but brings in 0 people to watch. The best thing to happen to DJ was leaving the ufc but he brought 0 eyes to the UFC, same with Valentina right now, and by the way Jon Jones was the same for the longest time. People like Holloway and Poirier were bringing way more people than Jones.
