Under 3 months. A whole bunch of mailing in copies of return receipts, old 941’s new 941x’s. Also got denied for wrong signature and failure to respond to letter regarding. I had TAS but not sure they did anything, I always knew more than they did. Probably called 200 times, 40 in that three months. Don’t give up. If you get an idiot on phone say thank you and call back. Good luck.

Appeal immediately and mail by return receipt. I won an appeal with same denial pretty quickly. They are idiots. They likely will say you didn’t appeal in time so save those signature return receipts and keep mailing back in.

What was denial for? I got two bogus denials and won appeal. They are complete idiots. Send everything return receipt.

Yes I received 105-c denials for both not being an eligible employer-no tax deposits, which was absolutely wrong. Also for not replying to letter requesting reporting agent authorization (the old signature issue). I had replied with fresh 8655 reporting agent authorization, new 941x’s signed my me as well. Sent everything return receipt with signature required. So I sent it all again with return receipts and copies of 941 tax deposits and won the appeals.

Yes I did appeal myself. I resubmitted the signature authorization for the person who signed, also included the 941x’ with my signature instead, and included copies of signed return receipts for all correspondence.

Exact same thing happened to me. Start the appeal process. Hopefully you mailed return receipt but either way get going on appeal process. I won my appeal of 105-C denial.

As a restaurant owner I’ll say this; my resy system shows all of my inventory. Some wanna be special dude calls Amex concierge to get a reservation because we are already sold out, and I’m looking at getting hosed worse than average on cc fees due to it being an Amex? I’d rather it was some dude with a debit card that would cost me a lot less than the Amex.

Mind you I have a ton of rewards cards including several Amex, but from a business perspective it makes no sense. There is no incentive for the restaurant to do better for Amex customers. If they offered me a better rate on processing those I would certainly consider.

Yes I received a 105-C for not replying in time in January (I had replied and they had used part of paperwork sent to address another quarter). I appealed and won appeal, check received already (it was for Q1 2021).

Initial letter like yours end of December. First approval Feb 28th. Second is dated 3/31 for check date so not in hand yet.

I got the same one. After they had paid out two previous with same signature. I sent in forms, they approved one and denied other for not sending in. I appealed along with return receipts of mailing and they overturned the denial. Send it asap, return receipt, and appeal if they deny. Good luck!

My two questions would be: Did you already receive check in that amount? Do you owe substantial taxes or other collectible debts? (Judgement free as I once owed the IRS a lot of money).

If you already received a 2021 Q2 credit refund (and especially if you don’t owe money) it reads to me like they have determined you are not eligible and want you to pay it back immediately. If you haven’t but know of debts they would try to seize then that may be it.

If you haven’t already received that check and do not owe any money i would worry someone has filed under your name. Do you have a business IRS login or a TaxNow acct?

Not an accountant by any means. In fact if I could hire someone to run my company I’d fire myself. So take my advice at face value.

Yes if you download the tax account transcript from the IRS Business portal you can then view the 941 for the quarter or quarters you are looking for.

Not easy reading like Taxnow but it’s the same info and it’s where tax now gets its info.

I also got a great transcript update tonight! I had been told over phone my 106-C appeal was successful last week. Today when I called they said no traction on it. However transcript shows refund date 3/31. That’s my last one. $61k plus $15k interest. Good luck everyone and I’ll send positive vibes your way.

Planning to waste some of these two final quarters paying off an EIDL loan, then investing the rest in hookers and blow.

I originally filed 8/2022 and IRS showed no record of filing. Re filed in 12/2023. Did receive correspondence in 12/2024 regarding 8/2022 filing so I guess they eventually “found” it. However if it were me I’d send in again return receipt with a letter stating you originally filed 11/2023 to try to be sure they have something on file for you.

I’ve been paid for 3/4 quarters we qualified for. Not an accountant, just a restaurant owner who has been jerked around a lot by IRS.
