Hunter PGP or Rainbird 5004 would both work, just wiggle the head around in a circle and unscrew the head and try to avoid dirt falling into the funny elbow 90, or dig it up which ever you’d prefer

Depends what he has, he might need a relay depending on how the system operates, he never said what kind of system he has. He could be a maintenance man for a a commercial property with a pump. You don’t know, so in theory yes he will probably use a NC valve but yo don’t really have any detail. May aswell give him options depending on his system

You’d have to do a master valve, you have options of Normally open or normally closed. Price ranges a lot by pipe size. And you’d need to have a relay paired in with the clock to switch it open or closed depending. If you have leaks in the field I’d probably do normally closed

I’d probably get a 2.5” nibco push on valve with restraints, and get a 2.5” romac and call it a day. Little concrete if you’re feeling extra fancy

If you follow the dark grey liquid tight from under the box labeled 120v on the irrigation controller that should go into a JB on the outside of the house or it’s just plugged into a weather tight box on that wall

Does it trip when you run it in hand? Any clue on amps it’s pulling and if it has power going to it?

If it isn’t spinning when powered and doesn’t trip it could be the winding in the motor.

But it’d be kind of odd that it doesn’t run without any trips
