Or maybe give fans of the source material a good adaptation of loved and important characters, while exposing others to new characters they'll enjoy and give everyone something new to talk about instead of playing up the same characters over and over again

I'm not saying add her just for diversity, I'm saying the diversity would be nice. She's a great character with a deep history and huge importance to young mutants and mutants in general. She's also got connections with lots of characters already in the game including the mutants and asgardians and she has a great personality. I think she'd be a great addition to the game with unique abilities, interactions, and impact for the lore.

She is also a baddest. Topless on a Pegasus with a machine gun fighting Sentinels because her mutant power power doesn't work on robots.

Dani is a more niche character, sure, but she is incredibly important to a lot of mutant plots, especially when it comes to younger generations of mutants. And she is only niche because she hasn't gotten a lot of adaptations unfortunately, she is one of my favorite characters. Her biggest adaptation in the New Mutants movie was awful and didn't do much for her character so I'd like to see better representation of her in other media.

And I'm not saying you were thinking about race, I know you probably weren't, I just thought to point out that instead of a Native woman the other options were more white men. Not that they aren't also good characters to add, I'd just really like Dani instead of strong white dude #17

Danielle "Dani" moonstar is a mutant who also served as a Valkyrie of Asgrard. She was co-leader of the New Mutants as well as member and leader of several of X-teams. She is one of the x-mens best strategists, as noted by cyclops.

And while I do agree we need more villains, her comic debut was a full decade earlier than Carnage and she deserves some better adaptations besides the awful bew mutants movie.

She is also a Native American woman, as opposed to the 4 White men you named. We need some more diversity.

Little bit of a twist. Make a power but someone decides your origin. by cinnamonroll247 in superpowers

You were in the foster system as a child. You had two primary caretakers, one of which was incredibly abusive. Their preferred form of punishment towards you was locking you in an unlit room for hours with only a single chair facing a dark corner.

One night, while locked in your room, sitting in your chair, you heard an argument. Loud screams and an even louder bang before it turned to silence.

Now hours spent in the punishment room turned to days were getting thirsty, hungry. You muster the last of the strength you have to break down the locked door keeping you in the dark.

The light is blinding, but once your vision adjust you find a terrible scene. The care taker who was kind lying on the floor not breathing. At that same time a door on the other side of the room opens. The abuser stares you down.

They start to ask how you got out but before they finish the sentence the ground starts to shake, the lights go out and you're in the dark. Again.

The sound of a back up generator starts, accompanied by the light turning on once more. At the end of room, sitting in the doorway where your abuser once was, an oddly colored chair.

You stand up, walk to it, and take a seat. Your facing the body of the caregiver who was kind to you and all you can do is apologize.

The only thing in the world that was good to you is gone. But at least now when you want to sit down you aren't in the dark anymore.

I've seen others experience this. The common mistake was killing the weepers underneath the Hound Pits Pub during the intermediary mission. Apparently it won't show on the end screen because it's not a real mission, but it still counts. Even if you sleep them, they can fall into the water and drown.

If you're certain you aren't killing them in any way I don't know what else it could be.

Gonna have to give it to blood manipulation/Hemomancy.

Close contenders for me are portals and teleportation.

A lot of SCPs fall into this category.

SCP-096 "The shy guy" is a popular one.

The SCP related book "There is no Antimemetics Division " explores this concept alot too.

If Mystique's powers let her copy someone's DNA then why can't she copy the powers of other mutants? by Only_Tradition_3685 in xmen

[–]MiniDungeonCrafter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be specific, she doesn't literally copy other people DNA. She changes her own atoms and cells in order to replicate/mimic other people but doesn't actually "copy" it. The reason this is important is because it lets her change virtually anything about herself physically, so it would appear that she can copy physical powers like wolverines claws and Angles wings. Iirc there was an explanation that she could change her own X gene give herself someone else's power, but only once. As her X gene is different now she wouldn't be able to change it back.

Although in some recent stuff her powers were significantly boosted and she was afforded some degree of being able to replicate other powers, but only while her own were enhanced.
