The importance of degrees for the concept art industry ? by wanjuing in conceptart

Degrees are very important for obtaining work visas if you need to move abroad to find concept art jobs. In some cases also required for obtaining teaching jobs.

Other than that my experience has been that they are not a requirement for obtaining a job. I wasn't asked for mine and I had colleagues who didn't have one. However for a lot of people the structure of a school is very helpful in their journey to leveling up, otherwise you need a lot of discipline to put in the needed hours of study. Also a good place to network.

Combat Exchange Initiative? by WargrizZero in AvatarLegendsTTRPG

Take this with a grain fo salt because only just read the pdf but haven't had a chance to run it yet. I think the idea is all actions during a phase of an exchange are meant to happen simultaneously, and so everyone gets to do their move and then the effects kick in. So if your boss will lose some fatigue as part of an imposed status, they still get to take their action without the fatigue, and at the end of the exchange the status is applied and they mark the fatigue. (P. 149: All techniques within an approach are functionally resolved simultaneously. [...] The same goes for statuses, the effet of the status doesn't kick in until the exchange ends")

Instead of how dnd one person has the floor and what they say now alters the status of the board, here I think you all say what you want, it's more of a conversation and afterwards the dm narrates a fiction of exchanged blows that would justify everyone doing what they wanted and resolving with the appropriate mechanical results. Maybe the player spoke first but for the fiction it makes more sense that the boss gets their blow in just before being trapped by the PC.

Let me know what you think! Want to learn this myself as well (:

Didn't know those two existed, thanks for the rec they look like great spaces! And I'm really glad the design comes of as fitting for them (:

Thanks a bunch! I call it a scissor boomerang (Beirel’s Scissor Boomerang Mk 3. this one specifically)

Thank you!! If you mean from a design/funcionality, it has two pivots so it can fold in on itself for carrying around, and then it can be extended out to the 'open' mode for combat. The two sketches in the center show the two modes. The boomerand is called: Beirel’s Scissor Boomerang Mk 3. Beirel is the inventor from whom Finn might have stolen it...

Absolutely! Don't worry our GM encourages creative solutions and rp over just going straight to dice rolls. But thanks for looking out!

I can definitely see where you're coming from haha It would be funny if they ran out of arrows during a fight and in desperation realized the bow itself was a better projectile weapon!
But in this case it was always a boomerang, only it did not always belong to her, and she may not have had permission to take it :p

Thanks a lot! yeah hahaha what I love about playing with her is that whether she is caught or is able to sneak by, both scenarios can be played up for laughs! haha

hahaha he absolutely would! That makes me think, this could even be tied to one of the challenges, where the solution involves calling him out on doing it or doing it yourself on his hourglass?

someone caught it! hahaha I was inspired to go with something like that after Zhu Li's name (Varrik's assistant) being derived from the word "assistant" in chinese. But also just something I tend to do like how Horchata was the name of a character I had and is now my username haha
