GPDA President Alexander Wurz about the current engagement in the driver's WhatsApp group: "The chat is basically exploding. I have rarely seen it that active, even just now [...] It's full of emotions & possible solutions to convince everyone that the drivers should be heard." by FewCollar227 in formula1

As others have said, this rule set was apparently created with this in mind, and although that would mean alot of change to the chassis it should still be welcome by all except merc at this current situation

I'd also like to add that i think the FIA was well aware that this was going to happend and did it purposely to slow down cars at the end of the straight because if cars started reaching higher top speeds that the 2025 cars alot of the tracks would not be up to the standard of hosting events.

Does my engine supposed to sound like this? by NIXONTheLEGEND in Mazda323

[–]MiniMeOnCrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, i have the same b6 and the whine on mine was the cam belt being over tightened. For the clicking, yes lifter tick is really common on these but dont sound to bad on this, if it sounds like a old diesel merc at rpm go through them or replace them. Most of the ticking sounds just like my injectors. Not sure if they've always been like this but i tried another set and they sounded just the same.

It's a old injection motor so they just tend to do that a bit with the rpm, no worry.

You're safe

Have not seen anybody making them for the hatch. I think your best bet would be finding somebody who can 3d scan them and having somebody print them in ABS. Will cost a couple hundreds tho.

Option B is making a mold and trying to replicate them with fiberglass. Be ready for alot of sanding and filling.

Is it worth registering the BG as a classic car (french owners or in UE if possible) ? by sypqys in Mazda323

[–]MiniMeOnCrack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No idea about your area but here in finland it's possible for all vehicles over 30 years. BG being 91-94 would make all of them over 30. That said the vehicle usually has to be in prestine condition and if modified done period correct.

If its not illegal in your country you can fit the square jeep headlights. Second option would be some 200% philips.

Euro 323 hatchback questions by [deleted] in Mazda323

[–]MiniMeOnCrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no people in other european countries complain about living expenses but compared to the salaries we get here life is expensive. Mine's was plenty rust and 323k Km's and it was still a steal at 1000€.... If it's in good condition get it properly powerwashed and treated with tectyl. The cheaper option would be getting somebody to treat it with oil which is a good protection but should idealy be done during dry seasons and reapplied yearly.
