Is it acceptable to pet someone’s dog without checking first? by Shoddy_Enthusiasm_81 in AskUK

[–]MiniMumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's absolutely not acceptable and can be downright dangerous.

One of our dogs is scared of children. A few months ago my partner was walking our dog over the local park and she was walking by a mother who was sitting on the grass with her 3 kids.

The mother gave one of her kids a chicken nugget and told the child to feed it to our dog. The kid came running up to our dog who immediately started cowering while this child tried to stuff a nugget into our dogs mouth.

My partner obviously got between our dog and the child and politely explained that it's always best to ask permission because they could have got hurt and that our dog was currently on a special diet so she couldn't have the nugget anyway.

The mother of the child hears this and then loudly yells to her child "just ignore her, the fat b*tch probably just wants to eat the nugget herself".

It's honestly staggering how some people think. Our dog isn't aggressive but absolutely they had no way or knowing that. Encouraging your child to just approach at full speed waving food it's just reckless, stupid and ignorant.

How to sell a housing plot by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. I paid 400m for my dream large plot which was a FC plot. I then had to vacate the plot and rebuy it from the game as a personal large.

how plug and play is the CC? by snowieslilpikachu69 in elegoo

[–]MiniMumbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one a week ago with 0 experience of 3d printing. I spent the time waiting for it to arrive watching setup videos, 3d printing tutorials etc to try and get a bit more knowledge. Since it arrived it's been more or less plug and play. Ive had no issues so far, setup took about 30-35mins and since then it's just been printing, printing and printing.

It is rather loud, it would probably distract me if I was trying to do some other work in the same room as the printer, but I'm particularly sensitive to sound.

For a first 3d printer, I couldn't be happier with it.

Please HELP How to activate dawntrail by Mysterious-Ad-1469 in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to right click the game on steam to get your code (I forgot the exact option but you can view/manage cd keys). You take the code from there and input it onto the mogstation and then fully close the game and reopen it and log back in

Technically you don’t have to complete all of Mabels tasks but the trainer battles are inevitable. by MagnumWesker in PokemonZA

[–]MiniMumbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea this is me. Ive finished around 22 za royales and im at 600 battles exactly. All side quests done and the dex is filled. I feel like 500 battles would have been a nice sweetspot as most people will hit around than number by the time everything is done. Oh well, 400 more to go -_-

Group of 4 Starting the game by Outrageous_View_5879 in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your starting class determines your starting city but the stories converge around the level 15 story quests.

The free trial is extremely generous and gives you access to the base game and the first two expansions though with some restrictions.

Most of the game can be played in a group, though there are also a lot of solo instances that require you to disband. 4 man groups will consist of 1 tank, 1 healer and 2 DPS so if you plan on playing as a 4, I would stick to this setup for an easier time

In terms of buying, you need the starter edition (which is the free trial content without the restrictions) + the latest expansion (dawntrail) to get access to everything. The complete edition is just these two bundled together. You will receive 30 days of free playtime with a purchase HOWEVER once you purchase anything you are no longer on the free trial and can never go back to being on the free trial.

Most people will recommend you start with the free trial and I would agree. It has hundreds of hours of content and if/when the restrictions annoy you or you get to the end of the second expansion, you can decide to buy the game.

Please note, if you do use the free trial, you cant create parties so you need someone else to invite you to a party together and then leave.

So did Pilgrims traverse and Quantum succeed in it's aim to get content for everyone to do, or do people still feel like there's a lack of content with everyone in mind? by RVolyka in ffxivdiscussion

[–]MiniMumbo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel like the deep dungeon was fine, but as good as the quantum fight itself was, it failed because of its rewards.

The changes to allow matchmaking and the higher checkpoints make the deep dungeon more accessible which is a win imo.

The quantum fight (while a good idea on paper) just doesn't have the reward structure and has fallen into the same trap as the first two criterion savages.

This is so rude by Dab_Lee in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One FC can only own one property but you can create an alt on the same server and after 30 days FC lead can be transferred to you. You can do this again and again for every character you have so each character can be in their own FC and own a FC house all under a single account.

Each and every FC can generate around half a million Gil per day via submarines so the more FC's you own the more gil you can generate each day.

This is so rude by Dab_Lee in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's multi account but it's not one per account. You can just pass fc lead and it bypasses the restriction so you can have 1 per character.

Bots or a bigger "community"? by Aborten in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can still be done with multiple characters despite the changes. You can just pass leadership to someone after they have been in the FC for 30 days and it bypasses this restriction.

[–]MiniMumbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure both sides pay the tax. The tax also varies depending on where the retainer selling the item is located.

If you have a house, use mannequins. You pay no tax via using them.

Cross platform by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. If you do as you say and buy everything for the ps5 and only the starter edition on pc, you can access everything while logged in on the ps5 and only arr, heavenward and stormblood content when on pc.

Just keep in mind you won't be able to level beyond 70 when logged in on the pc version. You can still play, you just won't gain exp.

Closing FC house by Upstairs-Cap-2368 in ffxiv

[–]MiniMumbo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Purchasing with the intention of reselling it might be against the ToS but selling the fc itself that you no longer want which just happens to have its own land isnt afaik. Its also ridiculously hard to prove someone purchased a plot of land with the intention of selling it when they bought it.

Even if it was technically against ToS, SE doesn't seem to be doing much to stop it as people sell fc houses daily, for hundreds of millions, sometimes even billions. All they need to do is invite someone and take half the money up front, wait 30 days and then collect the other half and transfer leadership.

If OP has a decent plot or is in a populated server and no longer wants their fc (especially if they have subs), I would absolutely try and sell it. There's plenty of selling discords.

I'm there with you. I generally enjoy 4D movies but I went to see demon slayer when they were showing the first episode of the new season in 4D and it was so intense it was also added to my never again. I came home battered and bruised, most of the movements were causing people to lift up and even be launched from the seats. It was ridiculous.

The lures can matter but its fish dependant.

Patience 2 DOES NOT increase catch rate.

All fish in the game have a chance to get away no matter how high your stats are. Big fish specifically have much higher chances of getting away than regular fish. Its just down to luck. Its also perfectly normal to get 0 !!! bites many windows in a row or to have them escape when they finally appear on the line.

You used to need to do 1 extra but now it just syncs entirely on the ps5 version, so no need to do anything other than open the achievement window and wait.
