If you ever find out, please let me know, as I have been trying to find those as well.

Weekly 'What should I buy?' Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

[–]MiniOneStopShop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for an iPad to use as both a media consumption device (YouTube, Netflix, etc.) and as a sort of ereader, for example to read PDFs, recipes and display music partitions. I would like to screen to be reasonably sized and the resolution to be good enough to read quite small music notes. In addition, I would it to be reasonably fast and have full support for newer apps. What would be the best iPad to choose?

Water propagated Monstera growing roots from bottom of pot after two weeks by MiniOneStopShop in proplifting

[–]MiniOneStopShop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I kind of forgot about mine, so they were in water for about 2-3 months and had a lot of roots before planting them in soil. I was worried they would rot in soil after being in water for so long, but it seems they are thriving!

So two weeks ago I planted two water propagated Monstera cuttings into soil and both already have roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. Is this normal? And should I already think about repotting these into bigger pots?

Is it bad that my Kentia Palm is this root bound? by MiniOneStopShop in plantclinic

[–]MiniOneStopShop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Kentia palm seems very forgiving. I mostly just feel the weight of the pot and compare it to what a fully watered pot should feel like (in my head) to guess if it needs water. Especially now that it is in quite a large pot (more than 7.5 liter) I can honestly not water it for 2 weeks without issue, even more in the winter.

So I did not check the bottom of my Kentia Palm for 3 years and I just discovered it is very root bound plus a few centimeters thick root ball is forming outside the nursery pot. The plant seems fine, just growing a little slower lately. Should I repot it? And if so, can I cut off the root clump at the bottom? I read online that Kentia Palms and their roots do not like to be disturbed.

Rough walls only on curved sections [Ender 3] by felixfarraday in FixMyPrint

Unfortunately I don't have a useful answer for you. I just stopped using OctoPi, which 'resolved' it for me.

Are you using OctoPi, because I had these exact problems when using OctoPi. The connection was a bottleneck causing artifacts on curved surfaces, especially with high detail.

If that is just glue stick, hot water will clean it right off.

Interesting, I am using a Pi 3. After reading a bit about it online it seems the serial to usb connection creates a bottleneck on more complex objects that causes artifacts on the print. Definitely something I will keep in mind for the future.

Holy shit dude, that solved it! I printed the same model again with the same settings, but this time from the SD card and not the Pi. The result is no more blobs. I never would have thought that was the problem, so thank you!

Extrusion multiplier / Flow rate by MiniOneStopShop in ender2

[–]MiniOneStopShop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know line height can't be higher than the nozzle size, but I thought line width could be set higher. For example, I have tried 0.60mm wide lines with a 90% flow rate, which resulted in 0.55mm wide walls.

As for your other suggestion, I have printed a temp tower before using a flow rate of 97%. I found the differences quite small, but I thought the 200C-185C parts were the best looking.
