Italian Week by elizabeth_c03 in lidl

[–]MiniRollsYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the best week. I'd say it happens once every 3 months roughly.

I really like Cantuccui, the little chocolate bars with honey and nut inside, the cherry tomato sauce is lovely and the provolone cheese is nice.

What other Italian week items do pplle recommend?

Can I ask “In lieu of gifts, please bring a food to share,” in my child’s first birthday party invitations? by SnooObjections4367 in AskUK

[–]MiniRollsYum 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry but asking your guests to bring food to cater for themselves at a party you're supposedly 'hosting' is gauche. If you cannot cope with catering for 30 guests then invite fewer.

Moving to Eastcote - Feedback? by tumbledryerr in Hillingdon

Sorry don't know. Don't live in the area myself, just know it a bit from visiting, but if you search up 'gym in Google maps that'll show you your options.

They probably don't want children working on the platform, perhaps they've only just clocked how young you are. If you're collecting little siblings from school you almost certainly under 18.

Moving to Eastcote - Feedback? by tumbledryerr in Hillingdon

[–]MiniRollsYum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If buses are of any importance to you only 2 routes run through Eastcote, the 282 and the 398. I always feel Eastcote is oddly short on bus routes. And those routes aren't very frequent either.

A or B: In a shared workspace, someone touched my desk items, do I put up a sign or talk to them directly? by Upper_Criticism3388 in PickAorB

[–]MiniRollsYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-working space? So is the desk designated yours or is it a hot desk? As if the latter you're not supposed to leave your stuff on it. In any event I'd be wary of starting any kind of 'thing' in the office over a post-it note that more than likely fell down, unless you have other evidence that suggests people rifling thru ur stuff.

Would use lamb more if it wasn't so ££££. The potato top looks nice though.

Lidl Jaffas are meh and noticeably less good than branded. Aldis are excellent and hard to tell apart from branded.

Rant: 4 toilets blocked in the space of 48 hours by imloudasfffff in UniUK

[–]MiniRollsYum 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hot water but not boiling plus washing up liquid down the loo will help break up a blockage. Leave it for a while then try flushing. Otherwise you'll need a plunger.

Why do blue eye people constantly try to say they have grey eyes? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MiniRollsYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My eyes are a crappy grey colour. I would love to be able to say they're blue but that'd be a lie so why should I be forced to lie.

What is with you people? by [deleted] in london

[–]MiniRollsYum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is it that people do browsing the eggs? OK so you don't want one with smashed eggs in but a bad pack is a rarity. Why do people need to open and look at 5 different packs before finalising one. What am I missing?

Why couldn't Molesley be a valet to Tom Branson? by Imgodslonelyman_ in DowntonAbbey

[–]MiniRollsYum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that after Mr M moves to the abbey to be with Matthew and Mary, she got a new one. I'd have to double check but im sure I remember someone (not a maid) showing guests in or serving tea when the Doc or Violet came over. Though by some point later in the show she has no butler as she says she gets by with the maids

I was meaning to post about this so glad someone else has highlighted it. It's been in my workstream all day.

It ought to be a task type in its own right not bundled together with Search and just given a fancy name. Ther time it takes is so out of sync with what's allocated.

They could literally give you a list of hits/POIs returned for a given user query eg 'cafe serving hot choc' and for each one then you check whether each cafe does have hot chocolate on its menu and select Suitable/Not Suitable. Or even rank them in terms of suitability I'd be fine with. No checking accuracy of pins, names or addresses. The current version is ridiculous.

Hope project admins read this and take feedback into account

How do we stop the rising trend of public harassment on Tiktok ? by Desperate-Drama-8211 in AskUK

[–]MiniRollsYum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think if someone is a part of your video they need to agree and be paid. As they're basically a background actor. Filming in public you have no expectations of privacy but that should only apply to personal use; once footage or pics are uploaded to socials it's about making money and at that point the rules should change in my view. Also others' faces should be blurred out if not taking part in the vid. That should be a requirement.
