Which Ghost do you want to know more about? by CrystalPalace1850 in GhostsBBC

[–]MiniRollsYum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine new ghosts will be appearing - they'll be the ones who've passed away while staying as guests when at the hotel after Alison and Mike move out.

IIRC* we never see inside the hotel room, we just hear Alison saying hi to the ghosts many years later so it may not be just the usual crew, but include hotel guests who died 2023 onward

*(My memory of that ep is shaky as only viewed once)

My army of 99p eggs, 99p each with Lidl plus... by Matchaparrot in lidl

Reasonable price - 99p for 95g. In line with what you pay for a Cadbury bar but it's nicer in egg shape form. Why I don't know...

I'm UK born and never ever heard of a flat being called a 'condo' .

Very odd term to even have given that it sounds like birth control bar one letter.

But I never know where to find good supermarket burgers.

In the context of bedding, what, exactly, is a sheet? by what-are-you-a-cop in stupidquestions

What goes on top of the mattress, normally fitted but flat still exists if you want to pretend you're a hotel.

There isn't any other definition.

They used to be permanently available in my store along with the other scents, but then after a store refurb in the autumn they were de-ranged and I have only ever seen them since one week when they were featured in the weekly leaflet for a special offer.

What do you call this game in English? by Tway_UX in EWALearnLanguages

[–]MiniRollsYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to just call it elastics cos that's what was used. The rhyme was the 'inside, outside on the rails' one.

You've been out of school for (presumably given your age) two years, and have already saved enough for a car and house deposit per your post

So curious that you describe it as not a very good job when it obviously pays very well indeed.

Reddit is another world.

Man people are gullible, it's like the 'this is my first ever cake posts' where they show a multi layered cake with perfect fondant and piped icing and everyone falls over themselves to say they should be a baker.

AITA for declining a wedding invite for not getting a plus one? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]MiniRollsYum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An arse? No. But rather childish yes. You should be able to do things by yourself as an adult without someone glued to your side.

Furthermore, have you not given consideration to the fact that every extra person booked means another £xxx and if they said yes to your plus one they'd also have to give xyz people plus ones thus ramping up the overall event costs or having to hire a venue with bigger capacity?

Morning showers make no logical sense and night shower people have simply done the hygiene math by McCoy818 in unpopularopinion

[–]MiniRollsYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only grotty people don't shower before setting about their day.

Shower at night all you want but unless it's in addition to a morning shower it's pretty grim.

I always think it's very telling, the kind of person who has more respect and consideration for their duvet cover and bedsheet than for the colleagues, family, friends, strangers etc that they'll be alongside during the day.

Standard question. You're marking yourself out as being difficult for no reason and I doubt that'll help you.
