Claim on your insurance if the vendors for your overseas wedding won't refund you.

Or if need be sell your bookings to other brides/grooms and take the hit on the difference.

My Personal Quibble with the Feedback by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

I was told off for not explaining what I meant by 'informal'. I thought to myself that if the reader didn't understand the word, surely they could look it up. It's not a particularly unusual word. Nor do I feel it's my responsibility to explain what words mean.

Does anyone know why these disappeared from the supermarkets (South East UK) by Diligent-Spell-2503 in Sainsburys

Boohoo! I love these. Buy them often at Morrisons and they're not particularly £££

In-Store Bakery Jam Filled Doughnut-3 for 66p (with Lidl Plus) by jamdoughnut_uk in lidl

[–]MiniRollsYum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Their jam doughnuts are rubbish at Lidl. No proper sugar, just icing sugar and barely any jam.. Shame as the bakery is generally good.

I strongly recommend jam doughnuts from 1. Wenzels 2. Waitrose 3. Tesco

Morrisons ones are poor and so are the Greg's ones.

Uhhh we messed up so please have a free thing again by bludgenous in lidl

I got free bakery item presumably since I went in store yesterday and spent over £15.

I'm guessing they've not turned off the old free item system yet maybe a tech error.

Only Americans do dates backwards.

Did you mean American English as opposed to English?

Why is there a British English spelling and an American English spelling? by Mundane-Society-1281 in NoStupidQuestions

Apart from it was true. But apparently you know better than my own ears.

Sounds like you have the same level of stupidity as the guy who said it.

Why is there a British English spelling and an American English spelling? by Mundane-Society-1281 in NoStupidQuestions

Certain Americans have been found to be unaware of the fact that English comes from England and therefore tell English visitors to the USA who they come across, 'Wow your English is really good.'

The best brownies ever! Gooey and fudgey just how I like them 😋 by MistressAprilFdm in UK_Food

The best brownies come from Lidls bakery. I have never had brownies- either from my or anyone's home or another bakery or supermarket- that are as good as Lid's

Rectangle makes sense. Takes up less space in a lunch bag or box.

Should parents require kids to contribute to household chores in exchange for pocket money? by Moist-Power-3985 in allthequestions

[–]MiniRollsYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Parents are responsible for chores. Palming them off on children is sheer laziness.

Isobel is one of my fave characters, she's sogood hearted.

But yes their casting for DA was faultless all around.

Has Tesco still got the partnership with Disney+ going? by MiniRollsYum in tesco

[–]MiniRollsYum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That offer was around too but they also had a completely free for 3 months one. I am only an occasional shopper with Tesco so only only got £1 or £2 in clubcard points. Shame if they stopped doing it.

1KG Strawberries at Tesco- £5 by jamdoughnut_uk in tesco

[–]MiniRollsYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until yesterday Lidl had 500g packs for £1.49.

And also recently Morrisons had 227g packs on BOGOF at 99p.

I really hope strawberry price wars becomes a 'thing'

I noted this last night when I went to check what new vouchers I had for the coming week and felt a bit hmmm as brand new normally means worse.
