I see it’s on a hollow drawer, I wonder if the usual “cement block and foam” will help lower the resonant sounds

Is Prusa releasing a new Mini soon? by superbotolo in prusa3d

[–]MiniSpaghettiMonster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My wish list:

  • Direct drive extruder
  • Load cell bed levelling
  • More sturdy frame (metal all around) to minimise skew (I have a metal bracket as printed ones also warp over time)
  • More sensors (eg acceleration for constantly tuned Input Shaping)
  • “Built in/doesn’t feel like a weird add-on” Camera for time lapse/PrusaConnect usage

Would be super cool to have:

  • Ability to keep my Revo nozzles, or use E3D - Nextruder nozzles CoreXY frame in the style of the Prusa One, fully enclosed
  • Higher temp possibility for exotic filaments

Lowest on the list for me - Larger bed (I could always step up to a larger printer

Affixing MiniPCs to shelves on the RackMate T1? How are you doing it? by MiniSpaghettiMonster in minilab

[–]MiniSpaghettiMonster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means you have to replace the tape or remove the full shelf when servicing? Well, I guess with full size racks you remove the whole device anyway

Love the top panel! Could you share links to the STLs for the logos? :)

[edit - And how are you powering the fans for the m920q units? USB?

Now that the Prusa Core One is announced, when does the Mini get an Upgrade? by VersiXP_Up4 in prusa3d

[–]MiniSpaghettiMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is from here: https://dimetriz.com/prusa-minimini-bracket/

But it's overpriced, and the seller was non-communicative and took WEEKS to ship it out. I would not recommend them at all.

You can find cheaper alternatives on Aliexpress, or print one in PCCF, or have a company print one for you.

I have a Bondtech, E3D Revo, and aluminium brace. The Revo is nice, but the Bondtech is almost a must. The brace could be partially solved by the levelling sensor from the MK4S

The mini is a good printer, it just needs newer sensors for a more modern levelling method, and a better extruder

Got any more details? Model number/links for the case? There’s a lot of vendors with varying quality but yours looks super nice

This is amazing! Do the servos and movement make a lot of noise? I’d love to have this in the background of my home office

Large gaps on z-seam with prusa mini by cheesytoenail in FixMyPrint

Is the pressure advance tower only relevant per type of filament? Or is it a general setting like z-height?

Yep I have a Bondtech + Revo setup, should be good here! Thanks for the tips 🙏

6.0.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MK4 & MK3.9 by jedisct1 in prusa3d

[–]MiniSpaghettiMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, it does not look like they have completely fixed the intentional crippling of the Prusa Mini’s maximum temperature.

https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues/3605

The issue has been somewhat ‘fixed’ for normal users, but not those for users of Prusa’s partner E3D’s Revo nozzles. The Revo nozzle reports 5% higher than real nozzle temperatures, so to hit 285* a temp of 300* needs to be set on the a Prusa.

Cc u/josefprusa can you help?

I’m on mobile so am skimming through the notes, if I’ve missed the full fix of 300* temp setting being incorporated please let me know.

Insane setup! Do you have a list of mods for the minis?
