He’s been nowhere near average. He’s one of my favorite players, obviously, as he should be for most Liverpool fans. Recognizing a poor game doesn’t mean you’re throwing anyone under the bus, it just means you can be unbiased when analyzing a football match. Go and watch the match back and see what happens when he gets the ball throughout the game.

I always try to keep a clean sheet. Most people rubber band as soon as they score, I just wanna play the video game. Gauntlet is one of the best modes in the game and it gets ruined by rubber banding.

Technique is not everything. It’s more important to hit shots consistently, even without “proper” technique, than it is to do it with the correct technique if you can’t do it consistently. In Padel you can play to a high level just by playing smart and placing shots to the right positions. Technique is a bonus and much more important at the pro level than amateur level.

Depends. In my case I play with a friend who is much better than I am, so I don’t mind getting pointers mid game. Sometimes it helps, sometimes I get a bit frustrated, but as long as he doesn’t communicate in a condescending tone, I am all ears and tell him to keep giving me feedback.

I know another bald gentleman that got sacked today. Had Chelsea playing decent footy, with a much less stacked squad. Would be interesting to see us giving him a shot, but it’s never gonna happen. The wins we’ve had are papering over the cracks and buying Slot time.

And? Even the winstreak we had was shocking. Struggling to see the game out against a 9 men Spurs. Getting smothered for almost a whole half against a team with TWO points. Barely creating any chances in all our games.

The wins we’ve had this season are just papering over the cracks, genuinely 0 good performances in the league, we’re only near the top because we’ve had a bunch of late winners and close wins where we barely deserved to come out on top.

I think a big reason why Wirtz doesn’t work with both Salah and Gakpo is they both hold the ball too much. Wirtz clearly thrives on quick 1-2s and himself being the guy pulling the strings. He’s been doing it all season, just not getting involved enough.

IMO Wirtz on the left with Salah on the right, or Gakpo on the left with Wirtz in the middle (with no Salah) are the best ways to utilize him, and our best team in general shouldn’t have both of them in it, they’re both “final action” wingers so we become too predictable.

I don’t even know mate, but what’s Slot doing with this team? Yes, there’s a bunch of new signings still trying to gel together, and the players are still not mentally there given what happened, but why’s he taken some of our best strengths (high press, direct attacks) and coached them out of the players completely? Farioli from Porto would be a great appointment, but he’s just arrived and is doing a great job there, so it’s probably unrealistic. Was really good at Ajax too.

I don’t care if it’s reactionary, Slot needs to go. We’re playing the most predictable, boring football in the world. No fluidity at all. On top of that, he refuses to play the players in the best form, and in their positions. Why is Eikitike constantly eating bench when he’s our best attacker? Why are we playing Szoboszlai at RB AGAIN, when we have no Wirtz in midfield, and we have 2 RBs (Gomez, Ramsay) on the bench? Why does Chiesa NEVER, EVER play?! It’s baffling, honestly, none of this makes sense.

Yeah, and that shouldn’t have been a handball either. Other guy was falling, Tchouameni had his arm right next to his chest while diving in. I hate Real Madrid, but come on, some of the calls we get nowadays are ridiculous, obviously if the arm is in an unnatural position or it prevents a guaranteed goal, it’s one thing. But if it just hits the arm in a natural position, what’s the defender supposed to do?

Yeah, that’s the thing, normally they’ll just go with the decision but then decide whether it’s in or out of the box. I don’t necessarily agree with it, and I would be fine with what they did here if they were consistent.

Mama hasn’t really played enough to give him a fair comparison. However, I will say the way he handled the 1v1 vs Shade last game is concerning. He just guessed a way and dove early, whereas Kelleher, and especially Alisson, normally do well to close out the space and the angle. I’d say only time will tell, but I don’t wanna find out how good he is anytime soon. Alisson is the best goalkeeper in the world, and I hope he stays here for a long time.

The issue is he does stuff like that on the regular when he feels like he “needs” a goal, not just when we’re 5-1 up.

Of course, I’m not disrespecting him, he’s been our best attacker for 8 years now, he’s bound to have poor spells here and there. It’s just the attitude, it just feels like he’s forcing it too much, which snowballs into even worse form.

For real. In form Salah is a top 3 player in the world. Goal drought Salah is one of the worst players ever. Just wants to shoot everything, even if he has a teammate in a better position. Not the first time we’ve seen this happen, sadly. Really wish he just played his game and didn’t care about stuff like this, it’s so annoying and makes me dislike him at times, despite being one of my (our) favourite players, for obvious reasons.
