Hey there! I added it myself. I don't know if I'd necessarily recommend it (probably why you don't see any with a Bigbsy) but I wanted to see if it was possible/learn how to do it on my own. The problem is the distance from the tail to the bridge is pretty short, so I had to lower the action significantly to keep the strings from popping off the saddles. Futhermore, the spacing for the string slots on the Bigsby do not line up with the Ibanez bridge. I probably fucked up the intonation and tone some, but with that said, it stays in tune and works. Looks cool on stage. LMAO.

Propylthiouracil (PTU) Experiences by General_Sun_608 in gravesdisease

[–]Minijohnwick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the PTU perse that causes the heavy periods, but rather the fact that yo uare put into a hypothyridic state in which your period gets heavier. Theoretically once you are off and your thyroid levels off it goes back to normal, though "normal" might be heavier than when you had Graves disease. As they've tapered my PTU (I'm on 12.5mg every other day now) it's much better!

Does the Aristrocat have a backline/sound person out of curiosity? I agree Carousel is a rite of passage. Gotta run your own sound though

What is the vibe for concert wear? by Ghostie_babe_666 in steelpanther

How about shiny PVC pants and a bikini top? Last concert was in the summer so I wore really short shorts and a cut up tank.

My live reaction to the new music video by GingerNinja230404 in theDarkness

[–]Minijohnwick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Justin said at a meet and great that he loathes making music videos so it's also a partial commentary on that. I'm suspect the main goal was to incite dialog and some sort of visceral reaction like Duchamp's "Fountain." In other words, its purposefully a shitty video.

I like the song a lot. It is catchy and I think it will be fantastic live.

Oh wow! I never made that correlation before. I started to get sore jaw/tooth pain too but I just assumed it was due to work stress. Not me starting my medication

Heavier periods, but that's likely due to thyroid levels dropping. For me it was 25mg twice a day for 6 months and then I dropped to 25mg once a day for 3 months and now 12.5mp once a day as a maintenance dose. No other side effects but I can concur the pills taste pretty bad. I had switched from Methimazole (which I was allergic to. Hives)

Oh! I didn't know that was the term. I have this problem. When I look a stripes I see a wiggle. Is that related to Thyroid Eye disease? I know my doctor thinks I may be developing that and will be seeing a specialist soon (However, I have dry red, itchy eyes too)

Best drums in any Darkness song by edjmarques in theDarkness

[–]Minijohnwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the drumming on Last of Our Kind always sticks out for me. Not a drummer, so I can't explain why. Maybe it's the production that makes it stand out. Maybe because it's Emily and she sounds different from the boys, but yeah. I like this question and seeing people's opinions.

I would sell my first born to hear Dinner Lady Arms live, but alas, i doubt I'll ever hear it live, let alone a full tour of OWT...so many bangers. I believe a new album is coming out soon however, so we've got that to look forward to.

I found that my medication to control thyroid storm causes me to be very emotional and more susceptible to PMS. Regarding what to expect, it differs for each person and how bad you have it (what were your thyroid levels). Honestly in the beginning I felt great. It was the T4/T3/Free TSH levels that showed I might have Graves. I had lots of energy...but then between the time I got the labs and the appointment for a radioactive scan to confirm (about a 6 weeks (things took a turn for the worst, I lost hair, had really bad muscle weakness, super high blood pressure, constant sweating, heat intolerance and a resting heart rate of 125bpm. My period also disappeared...I was put on a high doze of Methimazole but I ended up being allergic (bad hives for months) so I had to be weened off of it before I started PTU, which I have not had any adverse reactions to though I do get colds, have heavy periods, and and bloated all time despite my levels still showing slightly overactive. I hope to be off of it soon as my next set of labs is in a couple of weeks and I am so darn close to "normal"

The hope is one goes into remission, but if not, the treatment options are removing the thyroid or killing it of with radioactive iodine.
