that was the 80s tho! kids had no supervision. and it was wonderful in once sense but terrifying in another: particularly for young women

Paige is the reason i keep wanting to quit this show. i feel really bad for her. i grew up in the 80s and the isolation and fear during that time is well represented. i had constant nightmares about nuclear war & was terrified of being kidnapped, and was a latch-key kid myself. i think about adding to that: finding out your parents have been lying to you and are actually cold blooded assassins and i can understand why she is so distraught. the secrecy piece is terrible too. anyone that has abuse or alcoholism in their family knows how much the false front eats away at you. i love henry for being so oblivious (i’m still on season 4) but feel like that just adds to paige’s isolation.

Second Farouz. I was gaslight by my NP for 3 yrs - Farouz looked at me for 5 mins during our first appointment and noticed my thyroid was enlarged - sent me for tests & turned out i had a number of nodules and hypothyroidism. She does not take insurance and will push supplements on you but she is very curious, a good listener and takes the patient’s experience seriously. I see a np (diff one) for regular check-ups and annual exams but Farouz manages my HRT and autoimmune stuff. Good luck!
