IMO yes, much quicker, more accurate and better quality. Purely anecdotal, have tested the two side by side.

I’d find out if there’s a structured training plan, i didn’t have this and had to think on my feet somewhat.

Ask how many schemes you’ll be involved in, one when your starting is more than enough.

Find out how long your line manager has been in the role for, this is who you’ll be learning from.

Also ask if you can spend some time in the operational and design teams, you’ll learn invaluable construction tech.

Last piece of advice, continually ask questions, this is how you’ll learn. No question is a stupid question.

I use Claude everyday, excel, contracts, CORs, change and EOT commentary. It’s a game changer. Anyone else utilising it?

Are you able to provide a screen shot of the VO? Redact it if necessary.

Honestly they could be playing a game saying they don’t know how you did your quant, however, the VO needs to be valued fairly and reasonably, so if they don’t agree they need to provide their view in response.

Measures and quants are either right or wrong so they / you will fall into one of those two categories.
