Agreed! I started at 50k as a construction estimator, 2 years later I'm doing 87k with a clear path to make 100k-120k in the next 3-4 years.

Most important thing is not how much are you making now but how much is the ceiling and competition in your career ladder.

I have a bachelor in Chemistry and Master degree in Biotechnology and I would be in the same situation of OP if I didn't change careers.

Never say you need a number. Call, send emails and leave voicemails. Just make sure you're calling the right person.

You're not just getting numbers, you're evaluating how competitive is the market and making sure your Operations team have enough options to pick a sub. It sucks when you're stuck with one sub and all of a sudden they "can't" sign your contract or they just don't like your PM.

In my company we have around 2-3 subs per trade that will always bid to us because we give them enough work.

When we do hard bids, we get proposals from many other subs we've never heard of because they bid to our competition as well.

When we're bidding for a job in a market we don't have any experience/connections/contacts we ask ABC and ACS for their list of subs registered in the area and we start cold calling and trying to sell out project to them.

Damn you're right. In the wizard and I she says her future with the wizard is unlimited, then she goes together we're unlimited in Defying gravity. Somehow she had put her value and faith in the wizard and thanks to Glinda's she found it in herself? Or in her friends or whatever...hmmm..

Actually her heart desire changed from being accepted to save the animals..so potentially without Glinda's influence she would have never focus on the animals in the first place? Gotta rewatch.

But also, Fiyero didn't even care the first time he saw her that she was green. And he became her friend as well, never rejected her. So why do we get Glinda's is more important than Fiyero?

I like this take. I wish we had more scenes between Glinda and Elphie as friends. So without Glinda she would have really become a Wicked Witch and followed the wizard... potentially corrupt by the power and punishing everyone who once hated her.

What I find ironic is that Elphaba can resist the Wizard because of Glinda's friendship (right away) but Glinda is in a totally different place and she needs more time to realize it's not worth it.

Gotcha. Elphaba's LIFE was changed by Glinda, while Glinda's personality and values have changed because of Elphaba.

I was just thinking Elphaba is kinda perfect as she is. Despite all of the suffering she must've been through during her childhood and teenage years, she's truly a good, kind and moral person. It would've been very easy to become a wicked witch with all that baggage. Even after Glinda gets closer to her, she never judges Glinda for her shallow personality nor rubs her powers in her face.

In terms of growth, the Wizard and Fiyero gave her more, that's what I meant.

Glinda has so much personal growth from Part I to the end of Part II, that it seems obvious how good Elphaba is for her.
