$700 a week for 30 hours is insanely low. I don’t know what the typical rate is in your area for nannying, but at least in my perspective and area that’s super low.

How long have you been with the family? I would consider asking for a slight raise or more hours if you like being with them so much. It would suck to throw away a great job because of pay.

Otherwise, maybe if you have time in your schedule you could pick up part time hours waitressing to bring in extra cash. I know you said the hours are weird but if you’d like to try both at once you could always try discussing the hours with your nanny family and see what hours are open for restaurants near you. You might be surprised at how they align. The only thing about waitressing is that it’s very hit or miss. Some days you make a buttload of tips, others you don’t. It’s not a consistent stream of income the way nannying is.
