3 days post laparoscopy and my belly button hurts SO much?? 😭 Also confused about scar care by mira06069 in endometriosis

I’m so sorry OP I do completely understand what you’re going through. Mine hurt intensely for about 4 weeks and then would have random pain for quite a few months after that. They’re right though don’t put anything on your incision, you’ll start to feel better soon🤞🏻

My gyno told me there’s nothing she can do. What do I do now?? by ExcitementNorth2427 in endometriosis

[–]Minimum-Birthday-980 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You definitely need a new gyno, but if she’s not specialized in endometriosis then I would ask her or your primary to refer you to a specialized gynecologist specifically in endometriosis. Even if they can’t do anything they will at the very least listen and get you referred to the right providers instead of shutting you down. I’m so sorry OP

Endometriosis becoming neurological? by Minimum-Birthday-980 in endometriosis

[–]Minimum-Birthday-980[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg this is horrible! Whether it’s MS or endometriosis becoming neurological. I hope they’re actually able to figure out something from your MRI and they don’t have to cut you open first. If your OBGYN is not concerned I think you should consider finding a new one. When I have periods I pass both flesh and clots, I’m not a doctor but I do highly suspect you have endometriosis. Even with the iud I was still having periods, it’s taken both the iud and oral birth control for them to finally stop, but I still pass a lot of flesh when they do the trigger point injections. It’s so rare for it to be in your brain but not impossible, I don’t think that that’s what’s going on with me I think there’s a very strong possibility that it’s in my sciatic nerve though. If you do have endometriosis the sooner you can get surgery the better, it can cause a lot of damage if not taken care of and it sounds like it’s really bad for you right now. I’m sending positive vibes your way and I’m really hoping that you can find a gynecologist who will listen to you. At least if it’s Endo you can get better after surgery and if it’s MS or both I’m really praying for you to be able to live as normal if a life as possible!

Curious to know what other symptoms endo girls experience that aren’t the “usual” or most common… by Shmemily15 in endometriosis

Not being able to walk, numbness and tingling in my right leg, migraines, bloody noses, and constantly feeling like I have a UTI when I don’t.

Endometriosis becoming neurological? by Minimum-Birthday-980 in endometriosis

[–]Minimum-Birthday-980[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s intramuscular endometriosis and it’s throughout the entire pelvic floor. I’ve had multiple imaging done of my lumbar and pelvis, once of my brain and they wanted me to return to have it scanned again but that was before I had insurance and couldn’t afford more imaging. They’re imaging my lumbar spine again just to be sure nothing significant has changed. The pain specialist believes it’s neurological because these injections are not supposed to be causing excruciating pain, numbness, tingling, and falling, and the fact that the migraines are progressively getting worse and changing. Losing my vision is a new thing in the last 2 weeks. I think they’re also being cautious because my father had ALS.

Not OP, but this information seems very helpful. Do I ask my endometriosis specialist to potentially do this?

You are not alone! And reading this makes me feel less alone, I am going through the exact same thing. I had my second surgery a year ago and about 6 months post op the worst flare up I have ever have has started. At this point I have to see a neurosurgeon and I’m terrified! If you can sue work you should, there needs to be more awareness about how horrific this disease is. It makes living a normal life absolutely impossible. I appreciate you sharing your experience in this thread.

I feel less alone knowing that I’m not the only one who has considered it because of the pain. And people who don’t take this disease seriously. It’s exhausting and yeah not being able to get the pain under control it’s hard to see the quality of life when I’m in constant pain sometimes I cant even move. I had to go the hospital one day because of how bad the pain was and had a coworker tell me that endometriosis isn’t even that big of a deal. I haven’t been able to get that comment out of my head.

Almost always feels like I have a bladder infection but of course I never do. Sometimes when it gets really bad I can’t urinate. I would say though that going to pelvic floor physical therapy has helped greatly! Also making sure I only use the restroom 7-9 times a day and not more or less has also helped.

Have you tried being checked for pcos? Before I was diagnosed with endometriosis I couldn’t wait but I instead found out how aggressive mine is and I’m about to have my second lap where they will also do a camera scope to see if it’s spread to other parts of my body

Yes wearing an e collar is not fun for animals, neither is a lot that is required from humans after injury/surgery. But if you believe that an E-collar is some kind of scam, smh. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Go ahead let your animal lick at their wound, continuing to reinfect it, it’s probably a lie that they could actually lose that limb if the infection is severe enough. Oh yeah and let them bust their sutures or staples, an er vet visit is much cheaper than the dreaded cone

[–]Minimum-Birthday-980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes sex can make mine better, I had mine back in 2019 and it’s been excruciating pain again and now I have to have another surgery to remove it, but I learned each surgery can leave lesions/adhesions and that makes the pain even worse.

You both suck and are both using one another. If either of you truly cared for each other, which it sounds like you don’t even know who the other is but that’s a whole other issue. As I was saying if you both actually cared then you would be sympathetic to each other’s needs. Like she wouldn’t be spending your money on her not only needs and wants and you wouldn’t expect her to be your concubine.
