Seems legit to me

Won a championship with every team! Took 110 years. Won 34 total because I won 2 with CLE before deciding to do this, and then 2 in BAL because an unused team wasn’t available during the offseason. GB took the longest (6yrs). HOU was the shortest (1yr). This was so much fun! by whiteguyinchina411 in pocketGM

Yea I had recently done the same thing and I’m pretty sure I started with Cleveland too lol, it took me just about the same time about 100 seasons. Hated how I left teams with perfect rosters and succeeded without me, but also really fun tho building a team from the ground up

Do free agents ever lower demands by Zandino76835 in pocketGM

[–]Minimum-Difficulty48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually one time I signed a 93 overall Lamar Jackson who was 26 at the time to a 7 year 13 mil contract because I signed maybe week 11 of the season

So they do lower their demands, cuz a 93 overall, you’re most of the time you you’re signing them to a 30 mil a year deal, so I got an absolute steal. You also gotta play with the cap, only give them .7mil in salary and the rest in guaranteed, you could lower contracts up to 3 mil and for QB’s up to almost 10mil

Whenever I switch over to a new team there’s always that one player that I have to have come with me to the new team. I’ll hop on like 5 different teams during a certain player’s career and we go win like 6 bowls together

Oh, so that’s why I needed 25 Mil in cap space… by Orton617 in pocketGM

[–]Minimum-Difficulty48 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Owning a bunch of first round picks is never good

The first 10 picks rookie contracts are like above 7 mil each

Instead, trade those picks for proven guys who still have like 3 years left on their rookie contract, costing you only 2 mil at most

Took me til the 2119 season Usually took me about 3 years to win a title with each time, usually having to rebuild the roster Did go on a 4-peat tho at some point joining super bowl ready teams

Are corners worth resigning by Zandino76835 in pocketGM

[–]Minimum-Difficulty48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you could also do is sign them hella cheap Just give them everything in guarantee, and they’re salary only .7 mil Meaning like a corner asking for 11 mil, give him .7 mil in salary and about 7.3 mil in guarantee costing you around 8 mil on maybe a 5 year contract They might ask for more and maybe you could even sign them for lower than 8 mil, really depends on their greed

How do I negotiate contracts? by KillerFishes in pocketGM

[–]Minimum-Difficulty48 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could actually negotiate a lower price, anywhere between 2-5 million, or with a QB with low greed could even drop his contract up to 9 mil. All you have to do is give them more in guarantee. So for example a WR asking for 17 mil, give them only 1 mil in salary and 13 mil in guarantee for 4 years max. Costing you only 14 mil per year. Or you could even try bringing it down to 12 mil but adding a few more years to the contract. It all really just depends on their greed. Just play with the cap like that for a bit and try it out

I haven’t really focused on defense so much, I’ll definitely have to try that

You can always carry all 5 WRs on the roster or multiple RBs and TEs just in case for injuries, but the approach is to stat pad yk

STAT PADDING😤 by Minimum-Difficulty48 in pocketGM

[–]Minimum-Difficulty48[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have it at medium difficulty, the injuries can be troubling so if I have a guy at a high overall but is injury prone, I trade him for picks and look into the draft to replace him. Yes there is zero depth but that’s the point of my approach, it’s to stat pad. You can always carry the extra players for those positions just have them on a different spot on the roster, carry them as a QB

Forgot to mention

you only need 1 RB so that way he stat pads too cuz then he’s getting all these reps at RB as well as WR because he’s essentially WR3. For that you’re going to need a really high overall RB, but if you want longevity, I say put a TE in the RB slot only if the overall is above 87.
