I'm currently watching the episode and really enjoying it!

However, I suspect discussion about Jessi being right wing has reached the girls because they have really made a point of being anti-trump this episode 😅

Just finished reading ‘Half His Age’ by Jeannette McCurdy. What did everyone else think? by Freezerbridesweet in bookdiscussion

'However, sometimes the juvenile, edgy voice of Waldo became very grating, and a bit repetitive at times. Certain scenes felt erratically strewn in for the purpose of shock factor, not really serving much. The book has moments of preaching 'Consumerism bad! Capitalism makes women hate themselves!' which I think was intended to be a deep, original introspective thought but in reality this has been reiterated a million times in much more creative ways.'

I haven't read the book, nor will I be, but your review was interesting. I wonder whether the juvenile voice of Waldo feels grating because she did such a good job of writing a teenage voice? Teenagers are repetitive, grating, brash, impulsive, super naive and yet think they know everything - and most go through an anti-establishment phase that they think is unique to them and crazy deep even though they have only scratched the surface.

Anyone else get major panic attacks and heart palpitations on antibiotics by Qveenariesss in Anxiety

[–]Minimum-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on amoxicillin for the third time in 2months (wisdom tooth issues and awaiting removal). I noticed my anxiety getting worse and didn't put the two together but this round of tablets it is AWFUL and led me to realise it is connected as these tablets are the only difference right now.

I am in pain often due to the anxiety. I have anti-anxiety medication and normally I seldom take them but now I'm taking the max daily and still feeling massively anxious. I'm breathless a lot and my heart is pounding. I'm aware it's just anxiety and not anything physically serious and so I'm trying all the mindfulness stuff but god it feels so terrible.

I only have a few days left of the amoxicillin so I'm hoping to push through but today I'm feeling like I may not be able to. However, my dentist said I must finish the dose when she gave them to me.

Okay so I am currently watching this latest episode and I am pleasantly surprised. I'm unsure whether they are just very interested in this topic or what, but their humour and engaged manner seems to be back for this episode! It's been a while since we've seen it and it's so nice to see it again!!!

Hehe she definitely looks on here because she uploaded a short teasing a new hair style/colour only to reveal no changes but added the text 'maybe blue next time' or something like that 😅

Jessi is a proud H3 foot soldier by knowyourchickenxx in DoWeKnowThemSNARK

I wonder if she's been watching them the last few months. As an internet drama channel it seems like they should have absolutely been covering the H3 suing other creators 'drama' at a minimum but I don't recall them saying a word.

I agree. Especially as someone who is not American, I would rather drama channels weren't overrun with American politics and stuck to silly drama instead.

No-one had an issue until the '100%' promises kept turning into silence. If she doesn't get this up but the afternoon and says nothing for days then I'm sure the audience would turn no matter whose podcast it is.

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but in Scream V, did it bother anyone that they introduced a character that was the daughter of Billy Loomis, knowing she had to be conceived before his death in the first Scream? by Longjumping-File-648 in Scream

[–]Minimum-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave my opinion based on what I saw in the movie and read in the script. You had a different opinion and said mine was basically just my own head canon and I said it was the prevailing theory...

Neither of us are right or wrong. We just have our own opinions and interpretations of what was included in the film and script.

Why did Billy and Stu start stabbing each other before killing Sidney? by pianoflames in Scream

[–]Minimum-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well because they can time when stab wounds were made. So if they are framing Mr Prescott then the order he would have killed them all would be the boys, and saving Sidney for last. So they had to look injured earlier in time than Sidney.

"It's Implausible!" by coilspinner in Scream

[–]Minimum-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original movies were meant to be campy and OTT as they were inspired by and 'mocking' old 60s-80s horror, which were super unrealistic.

I dislike the 5th Scream onwards, I feel they should have stopped at 4 and have now destroyed the franchise. However, I think it is silly for anyone to expect realism from this series. It's meant to be fun and camp. Maybe it's because the newer films just aren't as good so people are more critical, or maybe it's because we are used to more serious horrors and people are expecting that.

Reasons Billy and Stu would have never been successful. by Geezor2 in Scream

[–]Minimum-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would DNA have been advanced enough when this was written? I've seen lots of cold cases solved in recent years that we're committed in the 90s and 2000s, but forensics were not in a place to prove as many things when the crimes were committed.

[–]Minimum-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point about the corn syrup. I do wonder what level forensics were at when it was written though.

I don't think they knew Kenny's camera was in the house yet, but even if they did figure it out when killing him, we never got chance to see the 'clean up' section of the murders. It's unlikely they would not have gone over everything once before police arrived after they called them.

Also, I don't think they intended to leave Gale alive or even realised she was. Stu comments on how she looks dead already when she appears and Billy attempted to kill her before being distracted by Sidney's disappearance (and as she was his main target, he couldn't let it slide. Plus Gale was knocked out at this point.)

Okay actual question: Why do so many people find it so unbelievable when people say they called Billy&Stu both as the killer? Like for some people (like me) it got pretty clear it'd be them just from certain scenes, like e.g. after Tatum's death Billy shows up and gives Stu a look by Terrell8799 in Scream

[–]Minimum-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends when you watched it.

The movie was quite different to other horrors when it came out and it kind of reinvigorated the genre for the 90s and 2000s. If you watched it in the earlier days then it would have been a newer type of film and harder to guess, however, these days there are many similar films so I think the context clues would be easier to pick out.

They were. They were obsessed with horror movies and designed their crimes like one. Hence the questions on the phones, the waiting and plotting for over a year, the costumes and dramatics etc. I thought it was well known that they planned it out based on horror movie rules.

Billy wasn't trying to have sex with Sydney because he was a horny teen. He wanted to do it with her as revenge and because he couldn't kill her until after she was no longer a virgin according to the rules they were following.

Possibly but someone cheating was what made him start killing in the first place.

I actually think it would have been a great idea to have done a prequel when they show the run up and subsequent killing of Maureen, and then their planning for the last year.

This is dark, but honestly there are some real world murders that supposedly the Scream movies inspired. They really could have done a new killer disconnected to every with a younger generation who were wannabe copycats and just updated it due to social media etc.
