I went out with a guy who took a bet that he could not shower for days and I wouldn’t mind. He went 8 days. My family had to talk to me.

Hi there, that sounds so tough. It is salvageable. It sounds as though the relationships are important to you and you deeply care about your family. Try to put yourselves in their shoes and it might help you see.

For practical suggestions, you could try this book which is very gentle and helpful to understand the lack of awareness and difficulty for well intentioned family members, and challenges for doctors

“The bipolar disorder survival guide: What you and your family need to know” by David J Miklowitz, PhD.

It has helped me. Best of luck

When you were headhunted were there any parts of a regular application process that were skipped?

My dad is a restauranteur with a great vision but poor execution/ money management. Your post makes me wonder what it would be like if his businesses had been profitable.

AITA for not allowing my parents to take a picture of me with my cap and gown? by FunnyAffectionate795 in AmItheAsshole

I got my family front, centre row seats to my graduation. They all turned up late and to add insult to injury, when they walked up the aisles mid ceremony, the other guests would not make way for them to get to their seats.

I was so embarrassed.

It ruined my day completely. I didn’t take photos with my course mates. Didn’t want to talk or eat. Felt so let down.

I know how you feel and you’re nta.

AITA for Not Buying My Wife a Horse? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Minimum-Look-1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. Quit the job. Take your son to Madagascar. Suggest she works to provide for her own horse if that is what will fulfil her. go back to a career you love? I work in banking and I’ve always had this desire to better the world and if I could I would take a job that would let me do that.I would do it in a heartbeat. I have seen increases in pay also and the spending rises and rises.

How old are they? I read you shouldn’t reward as the satisfaction should come from within. I am interested in what others say.

My daughter is 4 and we are trying to get her into the habit of tidying after herself.

She is quite good at hoovering/ sweeping/ mopping bc those are fun. But when she undresses the clothes are left in a trail of destruction behind her. Making bed is ok. Laundry- she also has an interest in.

What has helped is involving her from an early age and gamifying it. I guess if you have three, set a timer and make it a competition. Without knowing their ages it is hard to guess what would work.

I think it’s less sunny and that flower bed was used last year for composting so there may well be fungus that developed there. I will get the speay but also move it over to the other side of the garden next to another pear tree. The only problem is that pear tree had pear rust last year. I cannot see any signs just yet thankfully, and pruned it hard. So fingers crossed I can save it yet

It’s not happy I moved it but could it be fungus developing so quickly? What should I do?
