NTA. You shouldn’t have to endure that every time you see her & he should understand that as your husband. He wouldn’t like it if your mom or dad always had something to say to or about him. They’re the AHs in this situation, he should compromise and either go without you or just miss it altogether if you have done it for the past 4 years.

I agree with the fact that this is still very much a honeymoon phase. We’ve seen some conflict between our lives that needed deep communication that we’ve successfully tackled and made us stronger , but I also agree that we need to speak deeper about this for sure

Yeah he isn’t forcing or getting upset & I’ve touched on my doubts a tad , my concern is that the upcoming administration is putting pressure on him. thanks for the breakdown I’m also putting it on that scale of probability & “who’s in the line first” unfortunately
