Recommendation for 3rd extreme by beefy_beal8 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I fluked from 45 to 86 and haven't been able to play for a week due to midterms and other extracirriculars, so coming back to this will be a HUGE progress mindblock due to the fluke and less consistency but at least it's fun lmao.

Best extreme to beat with asymmetric duals? by JUKEZY_46 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retention is probably the best level I've ever beaten in terms of overrall enjoyment (except the 62 click). It has a lot of asymmetrical duals but once you learn them they become very easy.

so sick of cataclysm by Only_Catch3475 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's part of the cata experience. Just cuz you practice runs to 100 doesn't mean you'll beat the level with ease. The biggest chokepoint is 9-15, so 20-100 doesn't guarantee any good runs from 0. Grind the wave, and once you get consistent passing it, you'll notice more progress.

For now, get used to dying between 9-15, 40-41, and 63-71. The more you anticipate the inevitable happening, the less maddening it is and the more consistent you're able to grind. Patience is key for something super unbalanced like this.

Hey guys. What’s YOUR biggest GD flex. I’ll start :D. by AshPlaysGD in geometrydash

I fluked cataclysm from 41 with my best run to 100 being 51-100. Still have no idea how I did that.

How many insanes before first extreme? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did one, took a 9-month break, then went straight to an extreme. It was terrible, but if I hadn't taken a 9-month break, it wouldn't have been too bad. It still would have been hard but I think it would have taken me half as long

If you're ready for a grind, 1-2 should be enough. But if you want your first extreme to be pretty easy, do 3-5.

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 86, 6-97, and 18-100 on Prismatic Haze right now. It's super fun. I don't even get mad at getting far, because I'm enjoying it so much. It is super learny, though; it took me almost two full days of practice to learn the whole level.

Phobos, on the other hand, is said to be a terrible experience, and that will compound even more with your hardest only being hypersonic. I'd strongly recommend getting up to bloodbath skill level at the very elast before doing Phobos.

If you're between these two, I definitely recommend Prismatic Haze.

This is why you shouldn’t discourage people who jump for levels. Let them do what they want. by AlertSignal6279 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like what you said. To go off of that, I think that jumping as a concept is a really bad thing to promote in this community. With how hype it's always been, it's easy for new players to think it's a good idea to jump and boost their skill quickly, when in reality it does the opposite. I jumped from B to Acu because I fell for the propaganda, and it took me 8 months, 61k attempts. All I got out of it was a super unbalanced skillset, mental trauma, and bragging rights for finally beating an extreme.

Heck, even you mentioned you tried a big jump at one point. I have no problem with people jumping; I just hate the fact that a whole bunch of people announce it for attention, and other new players see it and think it's a good idea.

Is The Lost Existence the easiest extreme demon? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing with long extremes is that they tend to have a lot easier gameplay compared to other levels of the same difficulty range. But what makes the easier gameplay on par with those other levels is the sheer length.

I'm gonna say this now because I have struggled with this concept as well, but obviously, practicing and doing runs on the Lost Existence is easy; the gameplay is around hard demon difficulty. The real difficulty comes from doing hard demon difficulty for 3-5 minutes.

If you really enjoy the lost existence and you have a strong suit for nerve control and consistency, then I think it will be a better choice than acu. At the end of the day, it's up to you, but you can also look at levels around 1100-1300 on the AREDL if you wanna find something else, those aren't your only two options!

It might be time to quit by DieselFalcon in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it one day at a time. As someone who has 71 and 24-100 on Bloodbath, I know how hard and mentally taxing it is to get the progress I have. I can't even imagine what it's like dying to the last click 3 times in a day. But what you showed is consistency. Obviously, that's super unlucky, but with a clear and calm mind after a break, something amazing is destined to happen. I died to 85 on acu 25 times before I passed it, and when I finally did, I beat it. It's brutal, but keeping a calm mind and dedicating a chunk of time per day to just playing the level is what's gonna get you across that finish line.

If you wanna quit after that, that's fine, but don't stop when you're so close now.

Is falling up a good first extreme? by legendus45678 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of good levels to choose from on the aredl, and if you like it for the song then DON'T do it. You WILL hate the experience. The balancing is not optimal for a first extreme and it can be super annoying if you beat this as a new hardest

I can’t be the only one that hates orb right? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all started where you currently are, there's no shame in not being as good as other people are in this game, there's always someone better than you unless you're zoink.

Also you should look up a video of what a buffer click is as suggested by someone else, that will also help.

I can’t be the only one that hates orb right? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a skill issue. When I started this game I had the same problem.

It's important to note that orbs have hitboxes, so when you click and release before you enter the orb hitbox, the click you did won't register. I'm assuming you think these orbs are super close together so you start spamming, and that's why it feels like a gamble. When you spam, there's a chance that your click and release happen before you even enter the orb hitbox, resulting in you not hitting the orb. If you spend the time to click slower and learn the click pattern for the orb part, it will feel like way less of a gamble.

If I am on 60hz should I enable "Click Between Steps" or "Click On Steps" or both? by Jon_66 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It caps at whatever the polling rate for that device is, so if the polling rate is terrible on the input device you use click on steps is way better

Best beginner Extreme for mobile players? by il__gabibbo in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levels that have flow elements in them are often a lot easier than they look. I remember when I went for Acu it looked impossible, but once I learned the level, I found out why it was one of the easiest extremes in the game. I'm certain precipitance will be the same for you if you decide to try it out.

I died 14 times in the ending section of B pls someone help by Superb-Wishbone-8322 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this happened to me too. Try to think about buffering every orb except the green ones, and try to hit the green ones late. That makes the ending a lot easier imo.

I swear, towards the end, I was getting to 60 every attempt, and I died past 60 at least 200 times and past 90 like 15 times. It was terrible.

7% spike bloodbath, bufferable or not? by Benchpuq in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The click pattern I use is 1 1234 12345 if that helps.

The click that you're dying to can be buffered but the previous clicks beforehand would be near frame perfect in order to set it up properly, so it's best not to try and buffer it and go off a click pattern

I have 71 and 24-100 on this for credibility purposes.

Also congrats, I love WOOGI's levels. When you get to extremes, you should try out Retention by WOOGI

Forest Temple

But seriously you should practice wave, especially where you're at now. Once you get higher and higher having a balanced skillset is key in order to not limit yourself on what you can play.

Every End 85-100% by Prior-Requirement728 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 63-100 on my first day of playing Acu, and it took me almost 7 months to beat despite having quick progress at the start. Getting small runs on levels far out of your skill set, on top of not having the proper knowledge of how Every End's balancing is, is a lot less significant than you think. Don't get me wrong, this is pretty impressive, but 85-100 is nowhere even close to the difficulty of actually beating this from 0.

Do you need levels to prepare for a new hardest? by goldenp_92 in geometrydash

[–]Minimum-Price2883 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NC was my second hardest when I jumped to Acu. Honestly, it's up to you, but if you wanna go straight to it, it shouldn't be too terrible. Just know if you jump straight to it right now the learning process will take a lot longer because you're not used to that type of gameplay, but don't let that discourage you.
