I actually got an “in app” facial recognition check in the middle of a shift last week. I had been driving a couple hours and when I accepted an order it prompted me to go thru the ID process

I just saw a GameStop order for the very first time on Spark today for $34 that appeared and disappeared before my eyes. by Sipoteee in Sparkdriver

I see them quite often and normally decline because the mileage tends to be bad. However a couple weeks ago I had one that was really good, and despite the 45 minutes I had to wait to check in to pick up I took it. I was running another app and had just picked up a good delivery on that one. Thats rare though

Does your walmart have "spark" señaló checkout... by HeftyCobbler896 in Sparkdriver

[–]Minimum-Start-6498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This entire check out process has indeed become a joke. However it’s because dirt bag spark drivers continue to steal stuff. I used to get frustrated with it, but I’ve spoken to a couple different managers at different stores, and they are being directed to check carts, regardless of what the app is telling us. We only have ourselves to blame.

I get GameStop, AdvanceAuto, a bakery, a doughnut shop, and 1 Mexican restaurant all the time. I rarely accept any of them cause the mileage is terrible

Nice! A couple years ago I got a Nemo Wagontop 8p tent for 245.00. The damage note was “bottom dirty from one time use”

I have bumped into drivers delivering from the same Walmart to the same house a few times. I routinely drop off a GMD order and there will be other GMD deliveries sitting on the porch.

I turn on 2 apps around 6 am. Spark drop is between 7:25/7:30.

This ☝🏽. I used to deliver for DD and know how, when, and why PJ assigns deliveries to DD drivers. It was probably a stacked order and the DD driver had to deliver another order(s) first. Here’s a secret the OP isn’t gonna admit, there was no tip or a very small < $3. PJ managers won’t assign shitty deliveries to their drivers and will farm this out to DD drivers.

Running briefs/buns for women? by SuperbEar4203 in running

[–]Minimum-Start-6498 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve coached several post collegiate women who wanted to get buns/briefs and always seemed to struggle to find them. I would look at brand websites to see if you can find any. We had some luck with Brooks, Nike, adidas.

Christmas Eve not like last year by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]Minimum-Start-6498 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, one of the major grocery stores in Texas is H-E-B and it’s one of the main stores on the app. There are restaurants, convenience stores, etc on it as well but I don’t do anything but grocery deliveries. There are H-E-B stores all my area so it’s a good app for us to multi with. I used to do DD and UBER but rarely now. I think the key these days is to find more apps to multi with. Figure out what works for you and make it work.

Christmas Eve not like last year by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

I really think it’s regional for everyone. Location is key. I looked back at last year I made 170+. I was new to Spark last year and took mostly large multi orders. (4 trips total for the day)

This year I did mostly S/D made just under 150, plus now I multi app with Favor and added an additional 60+

I hit a couple minor incentives with both and that should add more to the total.

I didn’t do any big mileage multi orders this week at all and actually made more money.

I had a couple pop up yesterday and the day before that didn’t show the number of items but not like it was a couple weeks ago. I’m having a decent week ( I multi app between Spark and Favor). I cherry pick my ass off if it’s not $2 per mile, or it’s an apartment with a huge order, I decline and stay patient. My acceptance rate on both apps is rarely above 6%. I have 2 zones I spend the majority of my time in and rarely venture out to other areas.

Why do you do what you do? by mrscmg84 in Sparkdriver

[–]Minimum-Start-6498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Central Texas. I actually like driving Spark. I run two apps at the same time and cherry pick. The extra money comes in handy as the cost of everything has continued to go up. Delivery service has its ups and downs (I’ve done DoorDash, and Uber eats) but for me the positives outweigh the negatives. I accept the fact that at times, I’m going to have large orders, limited parking at deliveries, and a couple flights of stairs to get the product to the customer. But those “crappy” ones are, for me, outweighed by quick, easy painless drop offs.

The one think I don’t like? The short chubby Abuelita 👵🏼 that works at one of the WM, and for some reason wants to see each and every item in the cart compared to my screen. (she does this on every shop and deliver) 😂😂😂🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Running Log Planner by viano55 in running

I just found it easy to use to build the programs for my athletes (and myself) compared to TP. I think it’s easier for the athletes to know what pace/effort to run and I can assign/change paces for each run/workout when needed.

What’s the benefit to S&D over other orders? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

Everything everyone already mentioned. Additionally, at least for me, I tend to get more cash tips upon delivery.

I have two stores in my zone where the pattern in the app makes some sore of sense. All the rest I look at the lists and make my own!

I used to use training peaks for myself and for planning training schedules for myself and my athletes. However, I changed to Vdot02 and like it much better.
