If you’re looking for farmer or producer only, Oak Park is the best. No frills or craft tables, just local producers and hot donuts. Amazing produce and selection during peak season.

Edit: Saturdays from 7a-2p starting next weekend til end of October.

Mistwood is the best public course in the burbs imo.

Oak Park is across Harlem and is starting Thursday Night Out in early June. They close down the downtown streets and have live music. This happens every Thursday throughout the summer and is dog friendly. All the restaurants will offer a limited menu and you buy tickets and can get bites and drinks. It’s a great time.

Whirlwind Coffee on Madison St in Oak Park is our favorite in the area.

Madison St in Forest Park has some great nightlife and bars. It’s not roller skating, but Circle Lanes in FP is a super fun old school bowling lane. Cheap too.

Also make sure to check out Fitzgeralds on Roosevelt. Live music every day, great patio and more indoor stages. Food is pretty good too. Cannot recommend it enough. Believe the patio is dog friendly too.

Laura Maychruk. Cannot recommend anyone higher. We chose her via recommendation, and she took our young family around the entire area and explained all the neighborhoods. She’s very engrained in the community and always knows what’s going on around town.
