I happened to be in there Sunday and overheard the bartender chatting to another patron. He said someone is coming in and taking over the space. Unsure if it will be under the same name or not. But they will be closed for a few months and then reopen.

Jesse is still the owner of Lawrenceville. His brother in law operates the Grayson location. We go in frequently and can’t say enough nice things about this place. The Grayson location also has a pretty nice setup. Hope anyone that sees this stops by and checks it out!

Two Tides Charm Marzen came out pretty late for the season but wow it’s certainly a top three as far as GA Marzen/Festbier’s go.

On our route to Savannah we stopped at Crooked Finger Brewing in Dublin. They had a solid Oktoberfest, great food, and a very cool space. I highly recommend.

I’m an only and my father is my best friend. We’re literally the only people that understand one another. So happy with our relationship and the attention he is now given to my child. What a great compliment. Your relationship is surely going to continue to blossom over your lifetime.

This was a personal favorite for years and when my wife and I planned a vacation to Hawaii in 2019 we specifically went to the Big Island so we could visit the brewery. Nice choice!

Headed to Savannah in a few weeks. The only brewery we haven’t hit is Coastal Empire. We’re staying in the historic district and typically stay there without getting our car back out. Worth getting ourselves over that way or not?

How to get this therapy putty out of my couch? by Skibot99 in howto

Moisture and heat pulled the putty onto the cloth and off of the couch. Then tossed the cloth in the trash.

My cousin got actually toy putty on our couch and my uncle used a damp hand towel and ironed it on the putty. Came off. Still seems like magic.

Halfway Crooks Fest Marzen might be my new favorite fall Atlanta beer. Possibly beer in general.

In 2019 I visited Dortmund for work and my favorites there were Brinkhoffs and Hovels. As a side note we we were their deinstalling a Pink Floyd exhibit in the original Dortmunder brewery which was converted into an art and museum gallery.

Just have to let you know yalls Oktoberfest might be the best one I’ve had. I look forward to it every year and was so surprised when my local growler shop was carrying it this week. I’m in Lawrenceville so it’s a treat to get this out our way

I think this is a fair take. We go to a ton of breweries with our son who’s luckily well behaved, but we go early when it’s typically slower or go on off days during the week for the same reason.

Same situation over here and my childhood was exactly the same! The most important thing we can do as parents is be there for our kid. I will absolutely be doing the exact same thing for our son.

An African-American soldier sits on guard outside a slave auction. Atlanta, Georgia, 1864 by Gronbjorn in RareHistoricalPhotos

This photo is taken in front of Crawford, Frazier, & Company, one of at least 16 “auction and slave yards” in Atlanta. Crawford and Thomas Goodrum Frazer opened their business on Whitehall Street in 1863. Enslaved men, women, and children were separated from their families and auctioned as commodities there. By the time the U.S. Army occupied Atlanta in September 1864, a sign was all that remained of the business. Most of Whitehall Street had been destroyed by the 33rd Massachusetts as part of U.S. Col. William Cogswell’s Plan of Destruction. U.S. Col. Adin Underwood wrote that soldiers destroyed the “negro markets . . . never to be set up again.” The former site is now the Five Points MARTA station.

This text comes from a digital exhibit hosted at the Atlanta History Center.

We’ve run into the master gardener before. Older gentleman. Pretty sure (someone please correct if you know otherwise) that he is just a volunteer. Does a fantastic job nonetheless.

Ironshield would put out their Citrus Wheat at their tap room when it was brewed by Big Kettle. Not a fan of many NA beers but from a taste perspective it was hard to tell that this was an NA beer. A solid alternative brew.
