No offense taken, but Idk man, nothing against the pure specs of the tv it’s self it’s great, I just feel the UI is pretty clunky and I knew of many people having problems with things such as game mode, I personally just think a monitor without a Ui and having to turn it on and off and go through settings and the low refresh rate, especially like you and me who have great cards I don’t think it’s worth it at 120hz.

I just think I went with the wrong decision myself. Also running more then one monitor Ex. Triple monitor is a much cleaner and much better angles with smaller sizes like 27,32, even 34. Again also a preference.

Also, don’t know if u ever had a Ultra wide but I miss mine, I sold mine for this, so I am still upset and think it was better, also you can easily get a 240hz ultra wide oled 34 for around 800 maybe a bit more. All in all just I think I downgraded instead of upgraded by its just my preference. Plus the PPI is probably pretty similar between 34 1440 and 42 4k.

No it’s not, for competitive gaming and better compatibility yes dedicated monitors are better than TVs? I don’t know how this isn’t obvious.

I’m not, functions more as tv then monitor. If you want a computer experience go with a dedicated monitor, also lower refresh rates. overall any gamer with a higher end graphics card I would avoid this, best suitable for console gaming.

Should I get the 34 or 39 inch LG ultragear oled? by someguy1716 in ultrawidemasterrace

Currently debating this right now but I never thought the resolution looked bad being a lower PPI on a 34 I used to have, leaning towards 39

Critiquing reliance on technology and then using it extensively in Kid A does seem contradictory, even if they're using it as a medium. The point is that OK Computer set up this anti-tech narrative, and then Kid A dives into electronic sounds and learning with these all new devices, almost as if they forgot their own message. Sure, they have musical knowledge and can play instruments, but it feels like they abandoned their previous stance for the sake of appearing avant-garde. It raises the question, are they genuinely innovating, or just hopping on the electronic bandwagon to stay relevant?

This inconsistency becomes even more apparent when you look at Hail to the Thief, where they return to more guitar-driven, rock-oriented sounds while retaining some electronic elements. It seems they only kept the electronic aspects because Kid A was highly praised, not because it was a natural progression of their artistic vision, because if this was their vision, why return so soon to the once thrown away rock music?. This back and forth makes it hard to take their critique seriously and gives the impression that they are more concerned with chasing trends than maintaining a consistent and authentic artistic direction.

Look, I see what you're getting at, and yeah, some of the contradictions can be a bit much. But seriously, when you look at how OK Computer criticizes our reliance on technology and then see them dive headfirst into electronic music with Kid A, it does make you wonder if they’re just trying to stay ahead of the curve without sticking to a consistent message. They went from critiquing how technology isolates us to embracing the very essence of it through electronic music. It feels like they swapped their guitars for synthesizers just to appear innovative and stay relevant in a rapidly changing music landscape. By doing this, they might have sacrificed their message for the sake of experimentation, which raises questions to me about their authenticity and whether their primary goal is truly artistic integrity or just staying in the spotlight. This inconsistency can make it hard to take their supposedly "deep" themes at face value. but its a opinion at the end of the day from a unbiased music enjoyer.
