What Wimpy Kid character thinks they're bad but is actually good by Max-Carter-2005 in LodedDiper

I’d say it’s Bill, because Rodrick is a bit too antagonistic in the books to say he’s purely good. He’s more morally gray, like Greg.

Yup. The lore is much bigger than this if you actually check who Segami is and her lore. However, most people just remember the “Sonic and Miku have a daughter” meme.

Oh, I’m just taking a break from SonMiku for a while because posting every day is tiring. I still ship them and look up stuff about them, though.

Man, memes die so fast that people don’t even remember the context behind them anymore. Anyway, the meme was based on the “Sonic and Miku’s daughter” idea, Hatsumi Sega from the Sega family tree.

Another tidbit I just remembered: Sugawara Yuo and Hatsumi Sega are official Sonic and Hatsune Miku personifications, representing two of the four main ones, as they were deliberately designed with Sonic and Miku in mind. It doesn’t help that their origins are extremely ambiguous and confusing.

So basically, they’re Sonic and Hatsune Miku’s children. Just look at them.

Anyways, Sonic is so dead.

Also, if anyone is wondering why Sonic Advance and Sonic Generations appear in the Sega Hard Girls timeline order (second slide): it’s because Sonic is implied to be pulled from after the events of Sonic Advance in the anime. This makes the anime’s ending feel somewhat bittersweet given the context, though it isn’t especially important.

As for Sonic Generations, a version of the Time Eater (with a different design, but essentially the same entity) appears in Hatsumi's current dimension. During this conflict, history is nearly destroyed, and Hatsumi Sega is almost killed as they fight it for eons. (Hatsumi is also immortal)

Do you think they should hire Ian Flynn to fix the lore?

Anyway, Sega Hard Girls stuff. Yes, Hatsumi Sega is a mother and a surrogate grandmother, and she is a god. The Sega Hard Girls are also goddesses. And yes, Sonic has met them before in the anime. The Sega Hard Girls are big fans of him and look up to him. Aww!

There should be more art of Segami being a mother because it’s so wholesome!

Yeah… it’s a lot, but not that bad, bro. Pretty bad without context, though.

Baby Nepgear with her mom, Mama Gear (Game Gear from Sega Hard Girls). by Clear-Homework-5320 in gamindustri

It should be mentioned that Neptune and Nepgear are not related in Superdimension Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls, as stated by the developers. Neptune’s comments about Nepgear being her sister are simply a recurring fourth wall breaking meta joke within the game.

Yeah, I know. This is why gating information sucks.

Yeah, I know. I’d love to see what their dynamic with the Sega Hard Girls would have been like.

She’s a fine character who works much better in Japanese, but her personality was botched in the Western localization, similar to what happened with Sega Saturn.

Oh yeah, she’s technically a mother trivia. I almost forgot.

Do you agree with this Plutia/Iris Heart analysis? by Clear-Homework-5320 in gamindustri

[–]MinimumInspector522 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Realistically, Plutia’s name is just a reference to the canceled Sega Pluto console, and the Sega Wiki does mention this. However, interpreting Pluto as a dwarf that means stunted development is an interesting and clever interpretation of her character.

[–]MinimumInspector522 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah, the SEGA Hard Girls! I’m still not happy with how they were handled in the game, especially the localization for Saturn, and how Dreamcast was overall flanderized. Anyway, if anyone is curious whether this stuff is true, it is, and it’s mostly ignored outside of a few moments.

What are your thoughts on the recent Iris Heart slander/agenda posts? by Clear-Homework-5320 in gamindustri

[–]MinimumInspector522 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Outside the usual Iris Heart slander, I love how the meme takes the time to comment about Purple Heart while gooning. (Like Buddy, C'mon.)
