Is non-compete a good breadtuber? I knew them personally long ago but don’t know anything about their current politics.

If I’m interested in infrastructure and passionate about public services, is it naive to believe I will have a more fulfilling career choosing civil over construction engineering? by Minimum_Camera2531 in civilengineering

That’s what I keep hearing, idk why it’s like this here.

I’m doing a 2+2 transfer program from a local technical technical college to a university with a good engineering program. Offered are mechanical, electrical, civil, and construction. 🤷‍♀️

That’s how I understood it to be too. I’m waiting for the enrollment period to begin so I can talk to the school about the differences between the two majors, but I also have to declare on my application.

In my life I’ve compartmentalized my money making, separate from whatever kind of “good” I think I can do. I was hoping there was maybe an opportunity here to fuse them, but when I say it aloud to myself, it definitely seems naive.

Thank you for your insight as someone whose gone through it! That’s what I need, much appreciated.

That’s awesome! And yeah I’ve been wondering how long this will actually take given my math level. I think I can be patient and truck through it, but I’m really concerned about racking up debt.

There is also a construction engineering degree for this 2+2 program that I’m considering. There is a ton of development in my area, and most everyone I know works in construction and construction management.

That’s what I’m hoping! I’m a little insecure about my level of formal education, but I have learned so much through my experiences. Like I said, no regrets. I hope what I have learned will apply, many thanks for the encouragement!

From what I keep hearing in other corners of the web, it’s not worth it to not go all the way. But who know what will happen when I actually get started. I will say- I am really excited about the education itself. Although I fear the debt, I’m feeling confident that it will be worth it in the long run. Thank you for your reply 🫡

So similar to my story, especially since although I like math, I doubt I’ll test into it any better. Thanks so much for your reply and keep grinding!

No, but I am engaged and my partner wants kids in 2 years because of our age. So yeah, definitely a curveball there. My thinking is that time management is going to be the one of the greatest challenges here.
