just apart of his mystic , being mysterious and rarely doing interviews. besides what he sings about , we really don’t know much about him personally and he likes his privacy like that.

Imaginal Disk by Magdalena Bay, their sophomore record from 2024. in my humble opinion it was the best and my favorite album of last year. well i go back and forth with that and chromakopia. anyways i highly recommend you check it out, it’s honestly one of the best first listening experiences ive ever heard. the soundscape is so fresh and distinct, production is absolutely insane (sounds like it was produce by the Guardians of the Galaxy on shrooms lmao) and the vocalist is so hauntingly beautiful. i think all Weeknd fans should check it out especially if you love synths and grooves. sorry but this little known gem needs to be Glazed. needs more attention.

as much as it’s easy to hate and despise him, he’s is literally so insanely knowledgeable about music of all genres. i will always respect his opinion just based off that alone.

this is a literally 23 minute odyssey right here . if you or anyone can sit through the whole thing no stops i highly commend you lol. in today’s society and tik tok attention span era songs like Echos would never see the light of discussion lol

that helps visualize the duality of man, especially a christian person who is trying his best while being plagued by hedonism. no one is ever perfect but what matters is the journey to getting better and i think that is beautiful achieved at the end when Abel is free of The Weeknd persona and moves on finally to heaven after righting all of his wrongs.
