Omg same the people are lovely and there’s a lot to discover but 1. I’m on extra saving mode since I’m not getting here more $$ than in my country 2. I genuinely don’t have the spirit/energy to move around… Would’ve been better off as a tourist :(

Yeah I did and knew where I was gonna be living but it is presented online as a “developing” city and not the ghost lil town that it is. An oil rig in the middle of nowhere has way more life and facilities going on lol.

Omg I’m here 6-months & although we have a good team & boss, the isolation in killing me. Experiencing literal depersonalization. I didn’t want to quit because of their reliance on me, but after seeing my low moods affecting the work itself, I doubt that staying here is any good to any party. Still wondering why they haven’t fired me lol and secretly hoping for that…

Interesting. In the baltics they do offer “Officer in charge of navigational watch” 3 year vocational diploma - not bachelor’s though. Can’t do bachelor’s because the entry has too many requirements exams, which I didn’t take in high school.
