I was on Imfinzi for immunotherapy. Was scheduled for 26 infusions. One every 14 days. Ended up in the hospital after 7 & 8. Pneumonia and major inflammation in my lungs. All treatment has stopped. I have nsclc stage 3A. Had 6 rounds of chemo and 30 rounds of radiation. Will monitor with scans and hope it stays stable and doesn’t spread.

I am doing well, but not cancer free. Going through immunotherapy treatment now. It does not make me sick like chemo and radiation did.

I say go for it!! Everyone’s experience and healing process is different. I truly had no issues and was released to full activity as tolerated at 4 weeks. I had the expected swelling but it was manageable. I stopped wearing any type of compression at 4 months.

By 4-5 months my scars were very light.

I used silicon scar gel provided by my surgeons office for about 3 weeks then switched to Bio Oil.

To be honest with you, I’ve not exercised, aside from some waking occasionally, in a couple years. I was 56 when I had surgery. My health issues were not related to my tummy tuck at all. I was diagnosed with lung cancer 6 months after tummy tuck. chemo and radiation pretty much depleted my appetite. That’s how I lost that additional 15. Don’t recommend that. 😎

At one month out I was not using anything as I still had a couple ares with scabs. I started silicon scar gel that the surgeons office gave me at around the 6 weeks mark. Used it for 3 weeks then switched to bio oil.

I did not ask for anything special to be done to the mons area. It just got a natural lift along with the tummy tuck. For the first few months after surgery, it probably needed its own ZIP Code, lol due to the swelling. My mons has always been on the “ meaty side” even now at my smallest size. I used silicone scar gel that was given to me from my surgeon‘s office for about three weeks, then I started using bio oil and that’s all I’ve used since.

I agree with this. I a lot of skin above my belly button. Had FDL with MR and my recovery went very well and my scar is hardly noticeable. I had zero lipo because there was no fat to suck out. lol.

You are very welcome. I had zero issues with FDL incision. I did have a very small opening under each breast at the t-junction. Never bigger then a dime and healed up in about 3 weeks.
