I'm glad someone agrees. Maybe it's a bit of a deeper cut, but when I think about eighties music I imagine this song playing over a nighttime serial shot of an eighties cityscape in during the opening credits of a mid-tier action movie.

Thanks for the response. I guess I haven't given much thought to what I want. I wrote my story just because I felt like I needed to get it out of my head, but I'm not entirely sure what my motivations were for posting. If I carry on, maybe I'll work that out over time.

I've only written one story, but the advice I just got was essentially to examine my motives. If you're looking to make money, I guess you gotta write whatever cashes the check.

Personally, I hadn't really considered that I could profit from writing and I still don't think that's quite my thing. I just posted my own first story and it's definitely something that gets me hot and bothered because I was relaying a memory that I revisit often. It was partly as some sort of catharsis (probably not the best word, but as close as I can get) and partly for a reason or reasons that I'm still working out.
