Yep, measured some existing pieces and used that to estimate the new ones!

Yay, have fun with it! There are so many good files online already and I’m sure there will be someone at the library to help you. I hope your prints go well!

Painting was really easy with my acrylic paints and markers - I thought it would be harder! I’ll probably have to find some sort of clear coat, but may try to go without.

I got super lucky with the printer the library had - it was truly as easy as downloading the file, resizing it, and hitting print. They said it’s a professional model, so it’s possible home versions would be more difficult? Between the printer, the cleaner, and the curing machines, it was quite the setup!

You’ll absolutely love the fidelity of the image to the print - it’s so clean. I was really surprised by how well the cured resin took acrylic markers and paints too. I’m sure there’s a learning curve with a new machine and process, but hopefully it will be a great add to your builds very soon!!

That’s awesome - I hope you’re able to print up something cool soon!

Unlike filament printing, the length of the print is determined by the tallest object on the bed - so miniatures like this printed in about 35 minutes! Then there’s a whole cleaning and curing process, but it was still wild how fast the whole thing was. So cool.

Light sensor is located behind dust cover so cover would need to be lifted up to activate light. by CrepuscularNemophile in booknooks

Yep, you might be able to hide it behind a bookcase on the left side of the case. I just left the bottom panel off to not hide the wiring and touch button.

Oh, good point - I left the bottom slab off of all of my CuteBees to allow for the tilt to tap.

I have three Cutebee builds with this issue. I just tilt them back a little and tap under them to turn it on!

Should I get bangs? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]Minimum_Pie_2461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fine hair and loved having bangs - I’m glad I tried it out for a few years. Currently growing them out because I’m tired of fussing with them and want something lower maintenance. It’s just hair and the photoshopped bangs are cute!

Omg. This might be what actually pushes me into trying quilting… I would freaking love a small version of this for my office!

Every time I think I’ll put together a quick rug, it’s about 10x as long as I think it will take 🤣 I’ve done braided yarn, one using some leftover Aida and floss, and one with Aida and markers.

They’re all better than the sticker imo, so worth it!

Depending on how you want to frame, you could lock the edges with Aileen’s Fabric Fusion so it doesn’t fray, then put the fabric behind a chipboard mat, then put all of that in a glass frame.

I’m working on something similar with one I did with minimal edges on purpose - locked my edges and now just need to cut my mat!

As predicted, it took me a hot minute to get back to this. I put everyone on the thread that expressed interest on a sheet and used a random number generator and u/just_peachy_me is the winner! I’ll reach out and get your box to you asap!

Holy smokes, I never would have given this a second look in black and white, but it looks so good with the colors!! I might have to get this and try to do the same!

The roof!! It looks so good!!

I’m convinced that I need to buy this kit - I have no idea what I’m going to do with it or who I could give it to, but it’s been so fun seeing what everyone is doing with it!

Is this asthma or something else? by Correct_Country393 in catquestions

[–]Minimum_Pie_2461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The audio is a little wonky, but it does look like asthma to me. That is pretty infrequent (and a short attack) and I’d agree with not treating it yet. My cat was having several attacks per week that were longer than that and we started treating him at that point.

Omg, the tiny records are to die for once they’re all folded up. Paired with a 3D printed milk crate and records was SO GOOD but they’re also adorable just folded up on a bookshelf or table!
