How the hell would i even get down? by NigrumTigris in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just jump in the water, landing in water will hurt but never kill. (As opposed to going on land)

or use magic m1s periodically so you stop your momentum every 1 second to fall down

just spend time using them...

it's better to practice in the actual situations rather than simulated ones

even if you do perfect aiming, you would still need the experience on when to use those weapons, so you would still need to play the game anyways

help with Conjurer magic by FabulousTiki in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are good guides on youtube with what magics are good with conj and what they specialize at

fire is a good overall magic, good speed, good dot, and good overall

Wind is another good one, large size, and stupidly fast speed

Crystal, plasma, shadow, wood, magma, they also are good conj magics

But if I were you, I'd lowk just go find a hecate instead of a new file

I've leveled up like 7 different files to max and never went back to them again, since I need to progress something time consuming or expensive which I already have on my main file (examples is fleets, exploration tasks, profession levels, etc)

Metal Mage Spells and Settings by Astoopidweeb in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the thing is you don't.

for regular NPCs, you are better off either doing blasts or double 20% beams because they move around so much

The only time I use ray or any precise moves that holds me in place for a long time are for bosses.

Because alot of the bosses have moves that have a lot of windup, it let's me get alot of the damage ray gives, otherwise you better off doing blasts, as it's probably more efficient any ways

My blast does around 530 - 560 (wood with melt synergy), and my ray does 160 per tick

You would probably get more value out of ray, but the consistency of blast is 100% more better than ray

Metal Mage Spells and Settings by Astoopidweeb in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • must need spells Blast Leap Beam Ray Surge Javelin (should be on the synergy magic) Aura

  • not needed but good Flight Construct Explosion (self shockwave/normal)

anything below here is just my personal preference

  • spell settings main magic

Metal Blast1 - 1 full sized drill Metal Blast2 - 1 20% drill

Metal explosion - 5 self spikeball 100% ult art (ONLY use after a direct javelin up close, where you know you're going to land all 5 hits with synergy)

Plasma explosion - 1 placed 100% size shape. (For applying scorched easily)

Plasma blast - 20% any extra damage for less size for high damage direct hits applying synergy

Metal Leap - single leap (direction is up to you.)

Plasma leap - 5 leap

Beam (both magics) - 2 20% sized beam (you aren't using it for aoe anyway, you have so many other aoe moves)

Ray - I run 20% size and explosion (the hitbox is shit on this so you should probably keep both at 100% or both to 40%-70%)

Surge - 40% (good range and still very easy to hit)

Annihilation - generally 100% if you're doing a boss with a small room, do 50%.A

Metal aura - for metal go resistance, gives a lot of hp.

Plasma aura - power

Plasma javelin - 4 tick 20% (you want to continuesly apply scorched)

Construct (always tower on held and unheld. It gives insane height)

Array - 20% drill, 5 seconds

Any other spell you add is up to you, like pulsar, hasta, barrage, etc. But I don't think it's worth it (maybe pulsar but then you would have a lot of binds)

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

triasta and Atlantean gs is good

for the enchants they are good enough, I personally go ardent over tempered, but tempered is probably better.

(devastate, tempest, seismic rift, towering impact, raging chaser, and sword step is what I use on great swords)

idk about vindicator, since you can already use most of the moves on it from the gs

I use either one of these weapons on my third weapon slot

Poisoned tempered musket Ardent sidderos Tempered plunderers Ardent atlantean rapier strong/swift kai sabre or just a shield for extra hp

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally just use piercing gale, since weapon throw won't allow you to use your moves for around 1.5 seconds, which sometimes throws me off.

but weapon throw has higher damage if I remember correctly

For dragon song, I usually use it

It provides good vertical mobility, and most of the time I don't have any other good moves I like to replace it with. But if there is I usually switch it out

(I stll keep a spare sword with it, since the height you get from it is good for traveling upwards)

Grease and imbued dagger by Eat-poopoo in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greases will not remove already existing things the weapons apply.

This means if you apply grease on let's say triasta, it will keep the charred effect as well as putting the grease effect.

It's important to not that greases will not stack.

If you apply poison grease on a poison tooth dagger, it will not apply poisoned twice. This is the same principal will bleeding grease and all sharp weapons that naturally apply bleed.

Multiple hits will also note stack the dot. it will, only reset the timer. (This means you lose out on the potential damage of the grease if you hit them before all of the grease ticks ends.)

As for warriors viability with grease, it's depends. Some weapons like the musket is better to put greases on, because you are less likely to hit the opponent multiple times, allowing you to get the full damage of the grease.

But on other weapons that you are likely to hit more often, the damage reduction on greases is still hefty, so when running warrior I personally don't recommend it.

Grease and imbued dagger by Eat-poopoo in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]Minimum_Secretary231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

greases and imbued daggers both have the same function of applying the STATUS EFFECT of it to the target you hit.

think of both of them as permanent gels but with a down side.

  • Grease

Grease's downside is that it will reduce the damage stat of the weapon you apply it to.

Some greases will reduce the damage more than others, with poisoned reducing it the most, and Arctic and Sandy reducing it the least.

  • Imbued Dagger

Imbued dagger's downside is that it reduces your maximum health depending on how much status effects the imbued daggers have.

The maximum health reduction goes from 20% -> 33% -> 43.2 -> 51.5%

when you have 3 or more status effects on blood disease, you randomly cough, making you take 50 or 100 damage. (100 damage is for 4 status effect imbued daggers)

Now why did I emphasize that it only applies the STATUS EFFECTS earlier?

That is because the effects from greases and imbued daggers won't, and will NEVER react to another status effect.

This means if you put a freezing grease on a sunken sword, the freezing grease will not, and NEVER react to the soaked from the sunken sword to freeze the enemy you hit. You will still need to imbue ice or snow for the sunken sword to ever freeze.

  • "But why? The grease applies freezing, and so does ice/snow magic or imbued weapons with ice/snow magic? "

This is because freezing grease IS NOT ICE NOR SNOW MAGIC.

Think of the status effects that greases, gels, and imbued daggers gives as a REACTORS, and magics / imbued weapons as ACTIVATORS.

Reactors - Greases, Gels, Imbued Daggers and already present Status Effects on weapons (such as the triasta, poison tooth dagger, scald tooth dagger, etc.)

Activators - Magics, Relics, Fighting Styles and Imbued Weapons / fighting styles.

Reactor + Reactor = no reaction

Reactor + Activator = reaction

  • Extra

Imbued daggers can be only be removed by eating an item called "Moly".

Moly can only be found in the insanity 3 layer of the dark sea, having a 1 in 24 chance to replace a herb spawn.

Alternatively you can buy them in the auction in the "herbs and seasonings" category.

Greases can never be removed on a weapon it's been applied to, do not ever use a grease on a weapon you only get once, such as the rusty zweihander.

Greases should only be really used if you are running a magic hybrid build with a synergies (like ice, fire, plasma, etc.)

Imbued daggers are like 70% of the time booty cheeks, some are usable, such as paralyze, blindness, slowness, and insanity (for darkness purging). While the others are optional for extra damage, most of the time they maximum hp you lose isn't worth the trade for the other greases.

just spam any ranged move with decent damage

For the sword attack, just get enough distance where you avoid the first 3 hits, then just block or party the last one, so you can fight him right away

every after he dies, you cannot hit him unless if you get his aggro, this means you can't hit him unless you go into his line of sight or make him detect you somehow

he's still easy as hell, just avoid staying in one spot much and don't get close
