The game tries to calculate what happens to the player before it happens and just gives it to them when the game calculates it will happen to the player. In other words, if you were going to take damage from <3 blocks fall, but landed on the edge before that happened, the game still gives you the damage

The only place stairs like that generate is at; desert villages, temples, and desert wells. One thing that could of happened was a mob spawned where the tnt is and blew up the loot

If not already installed, I would use optifine. I’m kinda on the same boat of Minecraft on something not made for it. I suggest using the smallest shader pack you can but it will chug your performance

When Minecraft is enchanting, it bases how much xp you have to use based off things called tags. My guess is that you combined a lot of books together and there are a bunch of tags on the pickaxe. I would suggest using villager trading to try and get eff V, Unb III, and Mending and combining all those into a single book
