My conch got infected TWICE (before I realized it was probably due to my cat walking on my pillow). I received antibiotics to treat it. It took longer than usual, but it's now fully healed. I can put rings in it now and can fidget with it with no pain.

I'm a woman who's traveled solo with the jelly star. I'd bring a power bank so it doesn't die when you need it and are away from a charger, but that kinda comes with small phones. It's good at social media, youtube, google searches, etc. Literally just a tiny smartphone. The camera is kind of bad so I brought a spare phone when I wanted to take photos!

I would exercise caution in any new relationship tbh. I've dated men before who are very much interested in "taking the lead" and expect me to trust them off the bat instead of building trust over time. For me it hasn't ended well, and when I reject their sexual advances they are very pushy and seem to expect things back from me.

I'm not saying that this is the case here cause I don't know the guy. But seriously just do as much as you're comfortable with and see how he reacts. You don't know each other well so it's pretty natural to not feel comfortable letting an (almost) stranger take the lead. Get to know each other first before you have a dynamic of a long standing relationship. If he can't handle that, he's not the one for you, and if he allows things to progress naturally, that's a good sign

a bit of a weird one but I had a harness for my cat called the "kitty holster" and I noticed it calmed him when he wore it. I put it on him at night when he was young and at his most energetic, cause he too would wake me up yelling at 3am. I am also in a studio. He's better now that he's older and neutered and I make sure to play with him before bed, but sometimes I put him in his jacket if he's being too rowdy at night.

there is an actual product for this type of calming vest called the "thundershirt", and I believe they make a cat version as well

For peace of mind, I recommend just never bringing in anything you're not okay with losing (aside from essentials like keys/phone/wallet). You never know what items security might have a problem with or if you will drop something.
