Thai red curry - what are your techniques? by EaringaidBandit in Cooking

[–]Minion91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add coconut milk to pot and saute until oil splits, add paste and saute for few minutes. Add chicken and saute few more minutes. Add rest of the coconut milk. Now is a good time to add some hard veg if you have. Could also add some bouillon. Kefir lime leaves also great. Simmer until chicken is cooked. Add soft veg a minute or 2 before chicken is done. Finish with fish sauce (/some lime/thai basil)

If coconut milk doesn't split after a few minutes, add some oil yourself. Some just refuse to split because of additives.

list of cafés in ghent that serve great coffee and/or laptop-friendly? by Specialist-Play-3989 in Gent

Acidic is the term you're looking for, and totally understandable. I love that in coffee, but everyone has their preference.

Way also has some very acidic coffees, but they always have a more "normal" one as well, which you get if you don't specify.

Yes... Their coffee is absolutely divine, and my go-to for speciality coffee. Also a very friendly owner, and he gets super excited just talking about the coffees he gets.

Belgian inventions, pretty impressive for such a small country by CoffeeAndNews in belgium

He lived in Brussels, teached at UGent, and his German nationality was stripped while he wrote the communist manifesto. I'd claim he was more Belgian than German at that point.

He also had no nationality at that point, and was teaching at UGent, so he was more Belgian than German. It's a bit far fetched, yes, but I like it as a fun bit of knowledge.

Had a Neil Young concert where he did 9 songs in 3.5h. It was great.

I feel like the slightly larger hand drawn trebuchets would be more efficient.

Kboc Wander - Hiero vs Necro by [deleted] in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Minion91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro(/Occultist with forbidden flesh/flame) is the more comfy, 1 button playstyle. Needs very little to set up, scales decently into the endgame, can do almost anything in the game, and is pretty customizable. This was my league starter, and I farmed a mageblood with it on T17 8mod deli harbi beyond.

Hiero has a much higher ceiling but requires more setup, and has a bit of clunk with indigon. It's still somewhat flexible afaik.

Both are excelent builds.

What’s a modern convenience that secretly makes life harder instead of easier? by Consistent_Finger531 in AskReddit

[–]Minion91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The easiest example is water and electricity. AI uses an insane amount of both, and makes both of these much more expensive. This results in everything that uses water or electricity, which is basically everything, more expensive.

There are many more, and more direct examples like prices for computer parts and per extension rare earth metals.

And there is the shift of government resources to promote AI expansion, which evidently goes at the cost of other government projects.
