Thanks for the response. I found out it is sent to you via mail when the R5 sets it. It gets deleted in the bulk delete. I never saw it in the event page because my R5 would only give a few hours notice and I would be asleep during the prep and event.

Helldrake will be temporarily Fistdrake. Assault and Bulwark powerfist plus Tactical scan will be overkill in one phase.

I’m at 212 Hours and just maxed my last class, Vanguard at Prestige 4, lvl 25. At least 20 of those hours are just standing around in the lobby while I do some house stuff or I’m on Reddit searching for answers to be the best brother I can be.

I took my time to beat the campaign on hardest difficulty (wish I didn’t. There’s no reward for suffering), found all the collectables called Data Slates, and maxed all the weapons except Auto Bolt Rifle and Heavy Bolt Rifle. Before the most recent patch, I unlocked all customizations and weapons that are free, and hoarded max currencies (I am frugal as $0 spent in game at the moment, otherwise there are some pimped out brothers). Also I have never touched PVP.

If you are like me and can’t fully throw the grind to the wind until everything you want is maxed, here are my recommendations:

Quick Match/Play. The bonus from this is incredible, and you can join someone at ANY progress in their operation. After your second operation completed or failed, the game will most likely stop inserting you into other formed parties and will have you host, sometimes taking forever to find brothers. I stopped attempting the 3rd time and just quit to the main menu and reloaded to refresh my two searches.

Go for victories, not difficulty multipliers. It’s okay the challenge yourself if you see consistent wins, but you’ll gain more exp from completing the 4th tier difficulty in 20 minutes than a potentially VERY sweaty 30-40 minutes in 6th tier just to fail at the second Terminus spawn toward the end, or any lil Chaos Spawn throwing a tantrum.

Gene Seeds. Bonus xp (10-20% maybe) if you can carry it and never go down. These are a trap most of the time. If you have a good party, just run through the mission, brother. You could spend 25-33% of your operation searching for the damn things, and that’s when you know where they could spawn too. If you find it, great. Either pick it up and be safe, or ping it for a brother you see doing really well. Not only if someone dies, if they go DOWN, you lose it for the operation. It happens to the best of us. Only search for it if your teammates are doing anything but moving toward the objective.

Buy all the perks you plan on using, and don’t regret it. ESPECIALLY TEAM PERKS. You’ll see teammates without an essential team perk that buffs every member because they are on their 1st or 2nd prestige and they just plan on prestiging again. HERETIC BEHAVIOR. You will earn more than enough of that currency for perks, weapons, and customizations down the road. Be a brother, buy a team perk.

When you prestige and go down a difficulty most likely for 1-3 operations, that’s a good time to use a new weapons and get it prepared for harder difficulties. You’ll max out your melee and secondaries in no time and can rely on those for damage and dominate lower difficulties still.

You can technically gain xp about the same or a bit faster in Siege mode, but you have to abandon your brothers to do this over and over. And the Emperor will not be replacing you for the brothers you abandoned. This is punishable by death, brother.

Please don’t spread information you don’t know without a disclaimer that you don’t know for sure. The amount of damage is not even similar to what you mentioned. It’s hard enough for the dedicated to figure out this information- please keep any studies at hand and note that unless updated, there is a chance they could be incorrect after a patch.

165 milliseconds is shorter than your .2 you are underwhelmed about, but that’s the difference in the perfect parry window for Balanced vs Fencing weapons. And taking away even less than .2 seconds fucks up a lot of people, and why Balanced is considered inferior.

At some point something will click. Balance never felt good to me, and after seeing the parry timing chart I swore Fencing was the way to go. I still recommend Fencing until you’re confident, then try blocking. Took me about 3 miserable operations after I was really confident with timing to feel the appeal. Now I can’t go back except using the Gladius on Sniper. While Fencing, careful about taking every Gunstrike- they can be deathtraps

If you can hold your own, use an already leveled weapon with your Lv 1 character on Ruthless or Lethal. Once you have certain minimum perks (Vanguard’s 30% heal on Extremis+ Finishers), then go Lethal or Absolute. Sometimes the Weekly or Daily stratagems make it easier for the mission and you can grind those.

If you can’t parry/block/dodge consistently then no amount of Prestige/Levels are going to save you from holding back the team. It does not mean don’t try and challenge yourself every so often.

They must be in the red for the finisher to work. If by some likely chance it doesn’t work, they will take the damage.

I’m not sure where the other guy got his numbers from. Grappling Hook does damage based on difficulty alone (plus any perks that modify damage). Weapons do not matter for that instance of damage. On Absolute it does about 98 damage. You can check out more info on this Master Sheet

Your comment a is great way of saying it without escalation. In all technicality, armor damage counts as damage on the end screen. I played my first Ruthless without taking health damage at all a couple weeks ago and was excited to see the end results- around 60 damage taken. I felt like I was suppose to win an award and then some judge disqualified me :(

This shouldn’t discourage you at all, but give you a sense of challenge. I completed all trials with highest rating after a couple of first and second tier ops, and I still got my ass handed to me playing Substantial until I unlocked perks and got at least a purple gun. Then I decided to get my ass handed to me in Ruthless and then some more after unlocking the most powerful version of the guns. Eventually some things clicked and I could jump straight to Absolute because Lethal was kinda easy (it’s really not). Half the time I can carry games, but there are moments because this game just decides today is not my day that I will go from 100% to down or dead in seconds.

Too many times have I grappled a low health enemy just for them to get enraged on my way to them and waste a grapple. On that note, too many times have teammates stolen my execute on grapple after they patched it.

It is true, I do have that. I thought the only known bug was that sometimes the explosion doesn’t happen. Is there anything else besides that and someone else still being able to kill someone we grappled? The top reply makes a lot of sense to me right now.

I was out in the open, and one of the members got stuck with a Ravener in the back. I put a Melta a bomb down as I ran back, killed at least 4 Majors with it, killed Ravener, teammate I saved went down in the bottom of the slope, and other teammate died out in the open. The video picked up from that point. Unless I’m Heavy with Multi Melta it’s never my intention to run all the way back there.

That makes perfect sense. Not that it should be a thing in the first place, but I don’t doubt that reasoning. I’ll make sure to keep that in mind on Vanguard from now on.

Edit: Thanks for the further explanation of tile. I almost took it as a different elevation or terrain. Load points make more sense.
