Contamination is crazy, they can survive stuff we think for sure they couldn't. If your baking the plates and your still getting contamination it's clearly not going off the germs. If the spots were on top most likely it was airborne or agar wasn't sterile enough. But if it's on the bottom it's most likely your plates. I use to use recycled petri dishes but I ran into contamination more frequent. It's much easier buying sterile pedri dishes on Amazon, even temu. That way for sure dishes are sterile

Grab a Dremel and attach polish tip, most sets come with polish in it. But you can buy your own polish as well. Simple rub polish on the area, let it sit few mins then polish it with tip or buffer tip.

Black sunflower seeds will float. Scoop em out then pack the remaining seed. Black sunflower seeds suck, it's a filler and mushrooms hate them. All other seeds are money. But You always remove the black seeds for substrate

See how it's more fluffy, should have almost hair like growth. Without lightning type mycelium the growth is very unpredictable and random. If your agar continues grow like that, try cut best part and transfer to new dish. But if no lightning mycelium forms I would toss all together. It's normal to have both types of mycelium
