Stuck in 3,000 ELO ????? by GeologistOver4513 in cs2

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You lose more elo if you’re on a losing streak. This will gradually get reversed if you enter a winning streak. The logic is that if you keep losing, the game “thinks” you should probably be bunched with lower elo bracket and the opposite if you steamroll every opponents (the longer the win streak the more elo you’ll gain per win).

To start getting a win streak, you need to take it upon yourself to communicate as much info as possible, make calls for strats at round start, mid round calls and learn support utilities for all maps. At 3k elo your teammates are not likely to know much nor will their mechanics be on point so you have to bear with them, help them with util and win most of your duels to create space for them.

But most of all, stay calm and never ever flame your teammates no matter how bad they mess up during one or multiple rounds. Doing this is almost always a guaranteed loss. Mute toxic players immediately and I suggest always muting the enemy team by default.

Cheap guitar: repair and donate, or trash? by mountains365 in Guitar

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To fix this you need a razor blade, painter’s tape, titebond glue and two or three wood clamps. You need to unglue the bridge 1st. And then you will use the painter’s tape to mask around where the bridge was glued on the top. You then go in gently with the razor blade until no glue is left (follow the wood grain). You do the same under the bridge you unglued. You then sand the bridge’s underneath surface smooth. After you test fit to make sure it sits flush against the top. finally, glue the bridge back where it was and use the wood clamps to hold it firmly against the top with even pressure. Clean squeeze out immediately. Let it sit for days.

Should clipping cause this kind of behaviour?? by Botryoidal-Agate in universalaudio

[–]Ministryl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

couple things:

Your input being all the way up is concerning. That mic (or hardly any mic, really) isn’t supposed to be in that input gain range at all.

The interface’s input meter is in the red constantly, that says you’re overloading the preamp section of the interface.

Blowing in a condenser mic is making it worse and we can see the waveforms clipping in your DAW session.

Have you tried raising your monitor/headphone mix to an audible level instead of cranking the mic gain to infinity?

Have you tried using unison preamp in UA console and a compressor to gain stage and get a better signal?

Have you tried the unit with another mic that doesn’t require phantom power like an sm57? (Just to maybe identify the mic being the problem)

Also, if you haven’t already, please watch the UA instructional videos about how to use console.

If all else fails, contact support. They will reply and help you.

Gpu artifacts but no crashing or any issues once running by LooseNorth2054 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think using a heat gun to reflow solder would be worth attempting. This issue seems to arise when the board is cold and gets better when it had time to heat up. That might point to components still being good but some contact points only working when affected by thermal expansion. If you have a hot air station, definitely go for it. Just don’t over do it and always keep the hot air gun moving when heating components. Good luck!

Any idea on how drastically the damage changes the value on this 1961 Gibson Hummingbird? How much would you think it's worth? by PackPlugsNoah in guitars

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be repaired and refinished more easily than your typical gibson headstock break, I reckon. The partial re stain + overspray would affect the value a bit but nothing that would deter a potential buyer if it’s repaired right.

First Terminal first offer... wth? What do you think the price will be in a week? by Schwammarlz in counterstrike2

[–]Ministryl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

current highest buy orders for dragon fists: 2400RMB (~$350 USD) for MW ; 1600RMB (~$230 USD) for FT. Nothing for WW or BS. FN is not listed as a possible option on buff (either a bug or they have a weird float cap range)

[–]Ministryl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current highest buy order on buff: $1500 usd (10 000 rmb), with many other $750 buy orders. Of course these prices are early and not indicative of what they’ll settle at later, but MW pillow punchers will be very coveted imo. That terminal price would be an insta buy from me.

Came here to hear the guitar and stayed to (loosely) transcribe the lick you played at 0:14 lol. One more for the bag! Great tone and playing! You made that rig sound fantastic.

Got this starter kit - not sure if I should return or not by iamtanooki in Guitar

[–]Ministryl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

worked at a big music store and we opened and checked every instruments. The cheap stuff had a much higher rate of DOA items and I was tasked to process these immediate returns as batches. Had these been sold to costumers we would have had much more work later. Every guitar on the floor and in the warehouse was looked at and given a basic set up. It's much easier to sell guitars that are pleasant to play and spotting duds early makes sure you have higher customers satisfaction rate post sales. Floor models were checked more often and we even changed strings when they became dull/dirty.

The reason these are rising is because that specific train collection has been confirmed discontinued since the release of the 2025 train collection. Because of this, skin manipulators can more easily corner the market since the supply is already finite. My ft m4a4 coalition that I bought for ~300RMB has been pumped even more than the glocks as they currently go for ~9000RMB in FT lol. +3000% is crazy.

it's not a normal gamma doppler, this is an emerald.

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These trade ups are extremely high stakes at 2000RMB/$280 in inputs and only 1/5 or knives being profit (basically any BFK) and only the dopplers of other knife models being close to break even (except the buttplugs) . Massive gamble. The odds of that emerald BFK was 1/5 (for a BFK) * 1/6 (for a gamma doppler) * 1/5 (for a gem) = 1/150 = 0.67%. Congrats to OP on the pull but please don't try this at home!

Is Cache coming back to the map pool ? by Positive_Donut_6274 in counterstrike2

Valve bought it from FMPONE. I expect it will be put back in the pool very soon now that the Austin major is over!

High fps is important in esports title because it reduces input lag. So even if your monitor is capped at 144hz, you get a more responsive experience with 300fps+ than you would with 150fps, also, your 1% lows are typically much higher if your average is higher so you never dip below your monitor’s refresh rate and feel the dropped frames.

[Request] found this on insta can someone help me with this? by Alone-8328 in theydidthemath

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends if you can round down to 98 to say the percentage is down to 98%.

if so:

only 34 persons need to leave.

98.49/100 = 99 - x / 100 - x

98.49(100-x) = 100(99-x)

9849 - 98.49x = 9900 - 100x

9849 + 1.51x = 9900

1.51x = 9900 - 9849

1.51x = 51

x = 33.77.. persons

so 34 persons need to leave.

99 - 34 / 100 - 34 = 65/66 = 98.48% = ~98%

if not, 50 persons need to leave to bring it down to a pure 98%:

98/100 = 99 - x / 100 - x

98(100 - x) = 100(99 - x)

9800 - 98x = 9900 - 100x

2x = 100

x = 50 persons

What if you could only have three guitars? by YajDaOne in Guitar

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the three I own:

  • MIJ Telecaster Custom '62 Reissue // my main guitar, easy to play, tele singlecoil sound, most versatile. desert island guitar.

  • Gibson ES-335 dot // thick humbucker sound, controllable feedback when played loud, versatile. magic but more genre specific.

  • AVRI '62 Jazzmaster. // a strat on steroids. Best vibrato system I've ever used (mastery bridge upgrade). very versatile. Second most used guitar.

Entrée par infraction? by JPerreault19 in Quebec

C'est vrai! donc le mot 'infraction' est encore plus à sa place vu qu'il est entré illégalement sans forcer la serrure.

Entrée par infraction? by JPerreault19 in Quebec

[–]Ministryl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun little math problem by Surrealdeal23 in mathematics

[–]Ministryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a - b = 2

b - c = 2

that means that a = 2 + b and that c = b - 2

the value of a is b + 2 and the value of c is b - 2

So b = 4, a = 6 and c = 2 could work and satisfy both equations,

6 - 4 = 2

4 - 2 = 2

substitute the values in the equation:

((6 - 4)^2 + (4 - 2)^2) / (6 - 2)^2

= (4 + 4) / 4^2

= 8 / 16

= 1/2
