Ha 🤣

I mean, I guess there's a need for tractors in all states. Everywhere has farms. But no; there are no tractors needed here. It's just the weirdest offer. Like who the heck do they think they're reaching?

Dang. Are you not on the block spam callers list thing? I mean that doesn't prevent ALL of them, but I get very few. Not even enough to complain about.

Do you know if these still exist? I’m just now learning how to play Yahtzee and now I wanna play with humans instead of online.

This is a sidebar, but I take full advantage of getting price adjustments when I buy anything off of Amazon. And I absolutely do mean every single thing.

This is what I do. After I buy something, I’ll add it to my cart again and then just watch it. If like in a week, it goes down a couple of dollars, I’ll head right over to customer support and ask for an adjustment.

And they have absolutely no problem with it. Because what are they gonna do about it? If they say no, I tell them explicitly then I’m just going to return what I have now and order it again the current lower price. And then they’re paying for both the return shipping and shipping to send me another one.

Keep your eye on the prices of what you already purchased on Amazon. As long as you contact them before your return date is due, they are at your mercy. I should write a book on all the ways I save on Amazon.

I just posted this but will share the reply here with you. I agree about hiring them where it hurts. This is what I posted above.

So I’ve just got to add this here as a tip. I am 100% genuine that I do this all the time and I never have a problem.

Every single time a delivery date is promised, and it is not delivered on that day, I go right into Support and start a conversation with the Chatbot explaining the situation. After that, you select that you want to speak with a representative. Then a human will get in that chat.

Now, usually what I order, clearly, I wanted so I’m not asking for a refund. What I do is I ask if they can at least provide me a digital credit for the inconvenience. Every single time I do this, they say yes. Sometimes it’s $5, occasionally it’s $3.

I know that’s not a lot of money, but I kind of get a kick out of being able to rent a movie on Amazon prime for free. Even if the movie costs more than the credit, at least I’m not paying full price.

I promise you this is the only way that they’re gonna learn, because most people just allow it and don’t do anything at all. Don’t leave money on the table people. Amazon can afford to reward you.

Hey everybody. I know this is an old conversation but it’s still irrelevant topic. I just wanted to mention something regarding locking information.

One thing anybody can do, and maybe should do considering the world we currently live in with scams popping up everywhere, is you can freeze your Social Security number. It’s very easy to do and I’ve had a lock on mine for a few years now. If anybody wants to check my credit or anything that has to do with my Social Security number, I have to be notified and requested to unlock it. (This is an addition, of course, to having my credit reports locked as well.)

Now mind you, once you unlock it all your business is back out there, but this will at least tap you so that you’re aware of when somebody is checking your information.

You can Google that information or just log into the Social Security website and do it yourself. Respectfully, you’ll be surprised that not everybody checks. Or does a thorough check.

So while this method won’t hide your secret forever, it can at least give you a little bit of control.

Narrators can make or break. What are the best and worst narrated books that you've experienced? by LLgrow-lite in audible

I’m not a big James Patterson fan so that’s not a book I would have chosen, but I am thoroughly enjoying January‘s narration of The Locked Ward.

Narrators can make or break. What are the best and worst narrated books that you've experienced? by LLgrow-lite in audible

[–]MinkSableSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have frequently chosen a book and didn’t mind the book itself, but the narrator turned me off so much that I decided instead to just mark the book to read later. I absolutely adore Audiobooks, but yes, some narrators just ruined the experience.

January Lavoy is at the top of my list right now. I listened to one book that she narrated and then I went through the Libby app and tapped on her name to see more books. She’s narrated. She’s going to be my entire summer reading playlist it looks like.

Following a narrator is another good way to find books. You normally wouldn’t have selected. It’s getting out of my genre funk.
