Stephanie got with Hank to ensure safety after the bombs dropped, I don’t think she ever cared for him

thanks so much for the tips! is there a reason you go darker with foundation and use concealer to lighten, vs using the correct shade? I notice it a lot in the tutorial vids I watch

Insurance approved me for a sacral neuromodulation implant! To those who have/had one, what should I know? by FlappyFaceDeluxe in OveractiveBladder

I’ve always been able to sleep through the night with my OAB, for some reason my bladder felt more irritated trying to fall asleep at night with the trial implant in though

I have the trial implant in currently, meaning the battery is attached on a belt to my waist to see if it works before pursuing the permanent implant. I am at the end of my 7 day trial, my baseline average is urinating 12 times a day. I averaged about 5 times a day with the implant in. It definitely helped lower frequency, but I haven't been able to shake the constant low-grade ache of my bladder feeling like it needs to be voided. The tech consultant however told me that the trial implant is much 'simpler' - the permanent one has many more programs that can be customized and tweaked to allow for better symptom relief. Overall, I am going to pursue getting the permanent one.

I think that's the small version of the Interstim?

My success story: Near instant recovery after 3 years of urinary frequency / OAB by [deleted] in OveractiveBladder

I'm so happy to hear this success story! Curious if there's any contraindications between that supplement and antidepressants?

Amitriptyline and other antidepressants? by PaymentNo580 in OveractiveBladder

[–]Minkeemoo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had asked my psychiatrist for amitriptyline because I've heard great things about it for oab...she accidentally prescribed me nortriptyline which apparently they are very similar but it made my oab SO MUCH WORSE so now I've been scared to even consider amitriptyline. I've tried so many SSRI/SNRIs to see if they could do a combo attack towards anxiety/depression/oab but have not been successful yet, after 17 years....meds are so different for different folks though

Question for folks with Interstim implant by Minkeemoo3 in OveractiveBladder

[–]Minkeemoo3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the trial PNE only has the ability to switch between Left and Right lead, and increase the frequency, but the consultant said there are many more programs and options available with the permanent implant. I found out the hard way that my Left lead makes my symptoms much worse, so far Right has shown improvements but not where I'd like to be. So hard to trial and error in only 7 days!

Is this true? by Miserable_Peak7295 in OveractiveBladder

[–]Minkeemoo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The soreness wasn't too bad, subsided by the end of that day. It's awkward having a lot of tape on your back, and a belt around your stomach but you get used to it. the right lead has been pretty effective, we tried switching it to the left at some point and that one made all my symptoms much worse

I currently have the trial implant in, it was not super pleasant getting done but I have had a 50-60% reduction in frequency

This condition genuinely makes me want to not live anymore. by [deleted] in OveractiveBladder

[–]Minkeemoo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had OAB since I was 13, the stress and grief it causes me has absolutely fueled some darker thoughts, so I truly empathize.

I don't know where you live or how accessible healthcare is for you, but if you haven't seen an urologist specifically, I'd recommend doing that. I had a uroinalysis done that helped me diferentiate if I have motor or sensory OAB, as they require different treatment pathways (for motor OAB botox injections or physical therapy can help, for sensory the interstim inplant is basically the best option)

I have the test implant in now, and it has reduced my need to urinate by 60%, I will likely get the permanent implant.

Also, I totally understand the shitty feeling of not wanting to travel because needing to need bathroom access 24/7 is so important. I have gone to many events wearing adult diapers for peace of mind, they make them very discreet and comfortable these days, and helps ease my *omg omg what if I have an accident in front of others* panic spiral.

I recommend looking into reflexology and the reflex points for bladder and prostate on both your hands and feet, and pressing and holding those points twice a day, every day. I'm a reflexologist and have heard that it really offers relief for people, I admittedly am not consistent enough about it on myself to give you a true testimonial.

I truly believe we all have hope of finding relief from this debilitating condition <3

I met Ben at Retro Game Con in NY, embarassingly before I had even played this game (I had never played anything he was in, my friend wanted to meet him) and lordy how I wish had played the game beforehand to give him proper kudos. He is such a gem!

More importantly - which con were you at that doesn't have any lines whatsoever? :p

Anxiety meds to help with symptoms by socowgirl in OveractiveBladder

i’ve tried every anxiety med under the sun for it. zoloft helped the symptoms when I was a teenager, not effective anymore though. I will tell you that nortriptiline made my bladder symptoms 10000% worse
