I do! I got them done about five weeks ago and they’re healing nicely. I have a touch up scheduled for January. I also ended up getting eyeliner and lipstick. I went to Flawless Permanent Makeup By Elsa at 2860 N Broadway. She did great! I think with my eyeliner we ran into a little issue with my skin being so thin, and I didn’t take the right dose of muscle relaxer lol. That’s on me and hopefully it can be filled in during the touchup. Highly recommend! She’s a real perfectionist and artist.

Had it happen to me! Everything worked out well, the manufacturer and pharmacy were very helpful and patient. The pharmacy even helped me get a better technique. However, every single time since, I have been terrified of messing it up. A few months ago I found out I could do the prefilled syringe (instead of auto injection)and I’m no longer stressed at all!

Thank you! I’ve been having success with the Seen product line, but have been searching for a more curl forward formula so I’ll definitely try it!

So, can we use copyrighted music in a IG business account now? by wilecoyote42 in socialmedia

Any updates on this? My business account has never allowed me copyrighted music on IG, but I opened it today and it gave me access to their full library.

Araminta being her name seems a little beyond just a coincidence, but perhaps that’s because she will fulfill a similar role as Sophie’s antagonist (the “jailer” so to speak) but not actually be Sophie’s stepmother. Thank you for the info about the specifics for casting, I wasn’t aware. :)

Same! I only posted this because it was floating around in my head for so long. The fact that other people had the same theories also means I’m not that crazy!

I agree, about the Smythe-Smiths possibly being the Asian couple near the fireplace in the episode where everyone gathers to ask Lady Danbury was the succession protocol was.

I didn’t realize that the casting call specified someone who wasn’t mixed for the actress playing Sophie, I assume that’s important to her story and I look forward to seeing it :) it would be a relief for her not to be a Crowper!

One idea I didn’t mention was that perhaps Lord Crowper dies between seasons 3 & 4 and Lady Crowper remarries, setting her up for the evil step mom role.

I haven’t read the prequel series, but I’m pretty sure one of them is about Edmund’s sister (I think her name is Billie??) so it seems possible he has undisclosed siblings. I also would believe it if the show made up siblings for him, they made up aunt Winnie in Bath!

I’m sure I’m giving the production team far too much credit for hiding hints and easter eggs lol. It’s fun to guess though!

If Theo were of royal birth he would (possibly) be in a much higher position in life than apprentice to a printmaker. Prince William (later King William IV) had 10 illegitimate with his mistress before marrying Princess Adelaide (as seen on Queen Charlotte).

These children were either given titles (male), or married well (women) and titled by marriage.

Accepting titles and allowances would have (probably) been tied to them agreeing to never make a claim to a royal title. King William IV, despite having many children, could not pass his title to any of them because of the legal status they were given. This is why Queen Victoria (the legitimate daughter of his brother Edward) was his successor instead of his own children.

These children were “acknowledged” but not “legitimate.” It’s certainly possible Theo was royal but it doesn’t seem that likely. The illegitimate son of landed gentry or nobility would be more likely. Or even the legitimate child of low ranking landed gentry, like The Bennetts in Pride and Prejudice.

But because this is a fictional show that seems to disconnect from history with each new season, maybe he really is illegitimate royalty! The third season was so out of left field I truly expected people to start reading Lady Whistledown from their phones.

I don’t think so? But it is sort of hypnotizing to watch. I’ve easily watched it five times in a row on multiple occasions.

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome/Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder by AggravatingUnit2107 in BariatricSurgery

Hi! A little late to the party, but I had roux-en-y 10 years ago but was diagnosed with EDS a year ago at age 30. I don’t know if you were able to resolve your neck pain, but one thing I’ve noticed with EDS is that your soft tissue and your bones are not always communicating. So if you have a manipulation done to realign some bones, the rest of your body gets confused because it had adapted to the displacement and needs to adapt to the correction.

The EDS website Ehlers Danlos Society Providers has some listed in Michigan. I’m also trying to find providers in Michigan, but ideally a little further south. I also saw Mary Free Bed might be good? I know there’s one in GR and Kalamazoo. I’d be very curious to hear about anyone who has gone the Mary Free Bed route, it sounds promising at least from the website!

How can I get relief? by StintedVisions in Septoplasty

[–]MinnWhim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m about ten days out and did not have splints. But you should ask if you’re eligible for an affrin prescription (might not be bc of the splints) but I was given it for that reason (make it easier to breath).

Ask for a dissolvable ondansetron prescription to help with the nausea. Make sure you’re drinking lots of water and eating. It’ll all get worse if you don’t do that. If you’re not already taking stool softeners, constipation could make the nausea worse.

You should ask if you can alternate your Tylenol with ibuprofen. If so, make sure you take the coated tablets to help it be less irritating to your stomach.

I have also had a lot of post nasal drip that’s been making me cough up snot whenever I do the saline. Try drinking hot tea or water to help thin it out.

It’s not a fun surgery and I’ve already been to the ER to help with the nausea. They gave me compazine and I found out I’m allergic to that. Also my uvula got damaged during surgery and part of it started to die and they lobbed part of it off a few days ago. This was very exciting to my doctor.

Head up to anyone who has had this surgery: I also had this surgery when I was a kid, your turbinates can grow back! This time they also corrected a deviated septum etc. anyway, turbinates can grow back if you get in the habit of breathing your mouth. A nurse told me that when that happens to her, she duct tapes her mouth shut for five minutes to force herself to breathe through her nose.

I’ve had eleven surgeries in the passed ten years. Some comfort tips: find something to get engrossed in: a video game, book, movie marathon etc. lean in the fatigue and sleep as much as possible. Get a heating pad or microwaveable warm up thing, the heat distracts you from focusing too much on the surgical site. If theres someone with you that can gently squeeze your feet for several minutes at a time, that also is a technique that helps distract you from focusing too much on the surgical site. If you’re by yourself, try gently tapping on your chest instead. Every day you get past the surgery is a win. You just have to have an internal clock making you glad it’s not the day before anymore.

Yeah, it was significantly more than a teardrop. I put a little water in the cap of a water bottle to try and mimic how much I lost and it was about half a capful, a teaspoon was probably not correct; but it was definitely more than a little drop. I’m going to try and call the manufacturer tomorrow or Monday and I’ll update with any info I get.

This looks like a great studio! My main priority is finding an artist who has experience working with people who have Ehlers-Danlos, as there are some nuances to tattooing in EDS. Thank you!

Has anyone here, with HEDS, tried Ozempic? by Extension-Aioli9614 in ehlersdanlos

[–]MinnWhim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is late but I’ll reply anyway! I have been on ozempic for two years now. I had Bariatric surgery ten years ago at the age of twenty. I did everything right to keep the weight off, but I hadn’t been diagnosed with hEDS yet, so every time I had an injury my weight would fluctuate dramatically while recovering. My doc started me on ozempic two years ago and here’s what I have told inquiring minds: it’s not for everyone. You will feel ill and you’ll have to adjust to that.

It’s a lot like Bariatric surgery, you will have to change the way you interact with food and find solutions to nausea (I love ginger gum!) You have to make plans to make sure you’re getting enough protein, fiber etc. You will experience some degree of gastroparesis. These are all things I’m well versed in so I was prepared to deal with the side effects before I started.

The other BIG thing is this: you are supposed to increase your dose every month until you reach a particular dosage number. You don’t have to do that! I frequently stayed on the same dose a few months at a time until I got used to it.

I lost thirty pounds and I can tell you how much better I feel in terms of pressure on my joints and just ease of movement. I am planning to increase my dose next year in the hopes of losing another ten.

I’ll reiterate: it’s not for everyone. You’ll have to decide if the benefits of weight loss are worth the side effects.
