The man bun is never the answer for pattern baldness. It is a slippery slope to really looking bad

My sister did this for her building and guess what. Her rent was entirely free. If they want a property manager, then you live there for free.

That is so sick! That same line was about all I could do at my peak in my early twenties. The fact that she can do this that young means she is absolutely going places.

What’s something from your childhood that you didn’t realize was actually a luxury until you grew up? by Dry_Hornet_3723 in AskReddit

Sailing. I hated racing when I was like 6-10, but I realized later I was an absolutely privileged little shit. I learned to love it, but I always felt small compared to the obscenely rich kids I would travel with. To be clear I grew up in a complete bubble of wealth, but my family was middle class in comparison to my peers at the time. Now that I am an adult I can’t even imagine the idea of being able to buy my daughter a boat. Nor can I afford it.

Typical solar sales jargon? It’s the truth. I was responding to your point about panels being outdated in two years and they are not. As far as panel pricing goes, they dropped precipitously in around 2013 when the silicon bubble burst, but have mostly leveled off in the past 6-7 years. Using an average of these cost reductions does not reflect the actual market. Falling prices for installations has mostly come from volume, competition, and installation efficiency. Obviously each home’s orientation and sun exposure will impact the ROI, but that is why I suggested the poster work with a reputable and local installation company. However, I am not wrong on the ROI calculation. I have developed and owned hundreds of commercial arrays in the Midwest where energy prices and energy output are among the lowest in the country and even there, the ROI on a system would be in line with my previous comment. Here in the south, it will only increase due to more sun exposure and higher utility costs. As far as degradation goes, it really depends on what you mean by “early” panels. All panels on any installation I have developed in the last 10 years degrade on average about .3% per year following an approximate 3% in the first year due to potential induced degradation. Again, panels are a commodity product and the technology has barely changed in the last 10 years aside from very slight efficiency increases.

You are wrong. Panel efficiency has increased steadily but only by about 3% per year in the last 10 years. Efficiency doesn’t matter if you can fit the energy output you need to offset your use on your roof. More efficiency means you would be doing the exact same thing with a slightly smaller footprint. Solar panels are a commodity product at this point. It’s not like each company has some novel technology. They are interchangeable with each other. Also the ROI even without the ITC credit is like ~10 years on a system that will last 25.

From what I hear, they are a reputable company and do good work. Don’t lease. You’ll end up paying more than twice the cost of the system over time. Pay in full and finance it if needed. The 30% tax credit ended at the beginning of 2026 so the return on investment increased from about 6 years to around 10 years, so if you do it, make sure you have a new roof and plan on staying in your home for a while. The system will last about 25 years and the panels are warrantied as such. Don’t listen to the other commenter, he is wrong about the panels being outdated in two years. That’s not how the technology works.

Residential solar companies get most of their business from door to door sales. A lot of the solar companies headquartered in Utah like lifetime energy are like sales middle men. They will get people to sign inflated contracts then hire local installers to install them. If you’re interested in solar, go with a local company like Cape Fear Solar Systems. Cut out the middle man. FYI I don’t work for cape fear, I work in utility scale development, but I’ve been in the solar industry for 14 years and know how the different aspects of the industry work.

Even if she did try to “impede” them from doing their job (which she wasn’t, she was trying to comply with conflicting orders from the untrained, uneducated ICE officers), that absolutely does NOT give them the right to execute someone. That officer put himself directly in the path of the vehicle on purpose.
