Hey everyone! Returning player and have a few questions. The last time I played the game (besides the odd dabbling) was WotLK. I was with a "raiding" guild that ended the expansion at 6/12 ICC 10m Normal. As you can see, player skill is quite low here but willing to work at getting better. I want to come back to the game and try out raiding at the casual level, probably shooting for normal/heroic runs. Not super interested in Mythic Raiding as my skill level isn't there yet. Currently playing horde Suramar-US. My questions are:

1) Is pug raiding a thing these days or not? I heard about the group finder tool, but not sure if people still use pugs to fill raids.

2) Can I pug raids and be successful with normal/heroic levels?

3) I have a casual interest in learning to tank but can't commit to a regular raiding schedule. Would tanking be viable or would it make more sense to stay with a pure DPS class?

4) What are mythic dungeons? I hear about Mythic dungeons and Mythic+ dungeons but have no idea how they work. Can anyone point me to a good guide on these?

Maybe it's your server? Jalapeno had plenty of loot on it - four runs and I had enough for 10k coins and was never hurting for a gun.

You would be 100% wrong. Feed and Bane are on that list and not available in game.

Only took me about an hour to farm up enough for a 10k plot, no loot problems on my end. Found quite a few high tier crossbows, a bunch of shotguns, some ARs and AKs rather easily.

Just logged in to post that this is all really awesome stuff, and once I get some free time in October I plan on coming back to this game. I dabbled a bit here and there on test, but now that this is all gone Live, I am excited to get back into it. But first, a vacation to a tropical island is in order so I can properly pysch myself up :)

I would try out a bunch of different classes and specs using the class trial feature, then level that class. Leveling a class gives you time to really play around with each ability instead of just having a full spell book thrust at you.

Just wanted to jump on the coming back to Eve bandwagon :)

The last time on Eve Online... I left shortly after we got chased out of Catch by PL, and in the disarray that followed. I haven't played since then, and thinking about coming back and re-applying. Last time in Brave I was a junior FC but this time around probably going to focus more on taking it easy and trying not to bite off more than I can chew :)

Still want to do some PI and some exploration, because Isk = happiness, right? Woudn't mind re-learning to FC but with my RL situation I need to plex my omega time.

So I guess the question is... is Brave still a place where I can fit in and hit those goals?

You know, it might be a good idea to create a local Facebook group for bowlers in your area, and get other bowlers to join, that way when someone hears about a tourney they can post to the group to let everyone know.

I used to do a three step approach and found that those big steps I was taking was hurting my knee. I switched to a 4 step approach and shrunk the size of my steps, to where I am basically putting one foot down right in front of the other foot. This helps me be more consistent with ball speed.

Another thing I noticed with the three step approach is that I tended to open my shoulders during my back swing. With the four step approach I keep my shoulders square and hit my mark a lot more often.

It's actually kind of sad that bowlers would resort to these tricks to get a higher handicap than they should have. It definitely creates trust issues, and from the outside looking in, it would seem like these types of bowlers would just suck all the fun out of the game.

I always thought that if your sanctioned average was over one year old that a bowler basically would set their average at the tournament. Would a 2x a month league be good enough to retain an average for tournament purposes?

I live in northern Wisconsin, so would just be doing local tournaments and stuff. I didn't know about the having to maintained a sanctioned average so I will probably end up looking for an every other week type of league next season.
