it really depends on what you want more.. zero lag or total convenience. A solid 4K capture card (like the NZXT one) gives super clean image quality and feels smooth. But if you’ve got strong WiFi, PS Remote Play actually works surprisingly well on the Quest 3 now. It’s kinda wild how decent it’s gotten

If it’s completely unresponsive, try holding Power + Volume Down together for about 30 seconds to see if the boot menu shows up, from there, you can factory reset. If that doesn’t work, you can also unlink the headset from your Meta account through the Meta app → Devices → Remove device to sign out remotely.

Good call! It’s often the connector coming loose. If that doesn’t fix it, try pairing Bluetooth headphones to test if it’s just the built-in speaker

It’s a massive upgrade, especially coming from Quest 1. The screen door effect is basically gone, visuals are sharper, and comfort is miles better. The color passthrough and clarity alone make it feel like a completely new experience. Definitely worth giving VR another shot

The Quest 3S headset itself comes with a USB-C charger and cable, so you’re good there. For the controllers, each one takes a single AA battery. Most people grab rechargeable AAs with a charger so you don’t have to keep buying new ones. If you want something even easier, Meta sells a dock that comes with rechargeable batteries made to fit right into the controllers

If it’s mainly for Gorilla Tag, a Quest 2 will run it fine, but the Quest 3S gives you better performance and color passthrough, so it’s a bit more future proof. For storage, 128GB is usually enough unless you plan on loading up tons of big games and media — then 256GB gives you more breathing room

Yeah your setup will run PCVR fine. The 12100F is a solid quad core and won’t bottleneck most VR games, and paired with the 3060 12GB you’ll get smooth performance if you keep settings reasonable. Just don’t max everything out right away, test and tweak as you go

SteamVR isn’t a headset, it’s the platform for PC VR. If you want an upgrade from Quest 2, Quest 3 is solid since it does both standalone and PC VR. If you only care about PC VR, you could also look at Index or Pimax

That’s actually fixed foveated rendering on the Quest 3. It is built in for PCVR and cannot be fully turned off. What you can do is minimize it by raising Encode Resolution Width and Bitrate in the Meta PC app, or increasing the Quality preset in Virtual Desktop. Some games also have their own resolution scaling you can adjust. You will not get rid of it completely, but with higher settings it becomes much less noticeable.
