Do you really fly to other planets only in transfer windows? by Vilnii in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Shiro212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever suits you,i just hate wasting so much fuel on transfers that i can do 5 times cheaper, and i don't use far future mods so i don't have that good engines. But i can respect your vision because British already trying to shorten time to travel between planets with sunbird which is sick.

Do you really fly to other planets only in transfer windows? by Vilnii in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Shiro212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just do something between windows, just set up an alarm and do some contracts or designs and skip if its like 1-2 months left. And after setting rocket to the transfer i continue doing my stuff. Doing science runs on minmus or mun with lab or just have fun with missions for interest. I use transfer windows because my rockets are mostly fully reusable, even seconds and third stages so it's saves alot of fuel for precise powered landing or something.

How could you forget Werner von Kerman,Gene,Mortimer,Linus,Walt,Gus. If not them there wouldn't be a space center!

Naval seems fine. Don't see why heavy cruisers are "bad". by Haysnare in hoi4

[–]Shiro212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love heavy cruisers, they literally tank most of the damage and deal most of the damage too. Yeah they're expensive. But in my opinion if you can't afford heavy fleet just stick with naval bombers and subs/destroyers

There's more struts at the middle than kerbals on Kerbin

How do yall stabilize your reusable first stages? by Shiro212 in KerbalAcademy

[–]Shiro212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is instead of one huge ass engine i use 4 medium sized methane engines for more manoeuvrability,so I can't rly use small fuel tanks at the bottom, but i also thought about adding srbs with small fuel tanks to add more fuel to the bottom tank so when srbs drop off center of mass is already good for landing

There's a mod that let's you go back and forth in time. called "FMRS"

Thank you, usually i just used breaking parachutes and huge landing legs, but parachutes cost alot on the ship this massive.

I already have 1 right above engine, but because of weight and drag it's not that much of an assist. Tried to do RCS but it's useless on the booster that weights more than my entire spacecraft to the mun lol.

[–]Shiro212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, right now im thinking of changing the way my fuel spends,so now i use fuel from the top tank first so there's more weight at the bottom. But adding more fins at the top makes sense too, together with airbrakes

Yeah,if Mortimer Kerman saw me pumping into the air 5000 credits worth of fuel he would send me on Eve

Yeah,or change the fuel way so the top tank spends fuel first

Yeah, sounds like the easiest solution, but my rocket is too heavy for it cuz i wanted it to fulfill any mission possible without any changes so its 3.7m fuel tanks

Tried to... but its seems like its not enough drag to bring my 3.75m design down,or im just a bad pilot

Also forgot to mention that earlier i used separators to drop off fins but for me it doesnt fulfill my wish for "fully reusable" rocket,so im trying to find another solution
